I think this makes sense given the position he plays. It would almost signal the end of one or two others though.

28 year old Italian international, Inter midfielder. Unhappy with playing time and we are trying to buy him. Contract expires in the summer, so teh fee should be minimal.

Seen him in the actual flesh against Parma earlier this month. Inter were terrible and 1-0 down for 88 minutes. Can't say as I particularly noticed him which is an issue given the quality of the Parma midfield.

As reported in the other thread. This chap was given the run around by a 100 yr old (give or take) Franco Vasquez in the cup match the other week. I can't see how he'd be any good in our team.

Really don't understand the logic behind this one.

And this isn't exactly a ringing endorsement either.

I wouldn't worry about a single match. It makes sense when you look at our current midfield options.
We are relatively well stocked in midfield with Danilo, Mangala, Freuler, Yates and O'Brien (with Kouyate to come back from injury and Colback and Scarpa who could play there in a pinch).

I've no opinion of him as a player as I've never seen him play (he might be brilliant for all I know!), but this one just feels a bit needless and uninspiring to me.
