Leaving Spurs in the summer and available as a free agent.

Could be a reasonably cheap way to add quality in the wide left position.

Injury plagued season so would fit in well here.

Richard Keys would explode at how much we'd have to pay him, so I'm in.

Id rather we went down the younger approach fir that spot (Gyokeres) specifically, but there's no doubting his stats/quality - far better player as it stands.

I keep seeing people mention him so the last few Cov games I have tried to really zone in and I just don't see it. His goal scoring record is OK but absolutely nothing stood out to me.
I've seen him a handful of times as he really stood out for me the first time he played for Cov against us - he's come on loads since then and his number now back up his play. Intelligent link up play, attack minded, fast, left sided but plays across the front and decent stats, albeit at the lower level.

The only problem is cooper had him at swans and I'm not sure it worked out well between him and player. I think he'll step up for someone though.

What really stood out to me in watching him in the 'Boro game the other night is he took up good positions but I thought he was extremely wasteful and kept picking the wrong option (going to shoot rather pass to someone in a better position more often than not). Maybe I just caught him on his off games but personally I'd hope (if we do stay up) that we are aiming for better. He certainly doesn't get in the starting 11 for me as it stands.

I didn't see that one so can't say about performance levels. What I think he offers is a different approach rather than shoe in for first 11, while at the same time competing with Taiwo for his slot... He does a lot of his work from the left, so gives you the option of a three up front, as part of a more traditional two and can also do the inverted thing from the right. And he can definitely finish.

With all that said I think Cooper has probably moved on after the Swansea loan so don't think I'll get to see him here. I'd like to though, but I won't be crying if better comes in!

So, Coventry about to claim the final promotion spot, and you think they will be selling Gyokeres?
I think that is about as likely as Arter playing for the first team ever again.

My Cov supporting friends aren't convinced he's got what it takes to make the step up. Apparently he's been poor for most of the last couple of months.

Reminds me a bit of Adam Armstrong going to Soton…not sure gambles are what we need. Same reason I am not keen on us targeting the scraps of relegated teams

Good player, maybe not top, top level but he is certainly better than Dennis, Surridge or Ayew. A talented player at his age should be a good fit alongside MGW, Scarpa, Brennan. No fee, and he has some Brazilian mates here. I would say this would be a shrewd one to go after. And his versatility works well for us, on top of that.
