Pearce at the Peterborough v Carlisle game today apparently. Talk of strikers must mean he was looking at Britt Assombalonga. Highly rated but wouldn't be cheap I guess. Doubt P'boro would be keen to do business with us but money talks.
 
Suppose we have to hope Posh will fail in the play-offs, but they'd still want a fair whack for him I feel. Apparently he's their record signing at over £1m. So I can see them wanting £3m+ for him, as they will point to their record of improving strikers and selling on for a big profit.

Id we could agree a fee, I'd be very happy with him. He's the sort of player who still has a lot to learn, but can be unplayable.
 
He was at Cov yesterday as well. Looks like he's after some lower league gems
 
Hope he's keeping an eye on freebies too. Would hate to see a lower league gem get bought for a lot of money, and crumble under the pressure of that.

Could work the other way I suppose.
 
It's a yes from me, for his name alone. Must be some great song possibilities.

We only win when Pearce isn't watching.
 
Problem here is that Peterborough are going to be in the play-offs. They have won three our of three when they've been there. It should be called the 'Peterborough United play-off system (designed for people who also like laughing at Forest)'. So they're going up. They won't need to sell. And Forest are the last club MacAnthony would agree to sell to anyway.

Britt Assombalonga would be a great signing. Superb talent with a lot going for him. It excites me that this is the type of player we are looking at.
 
Cost a bob or two at 75p a letter though.

All true, but business is business, show him the money and Britt would be ours.
 
He's the type of signing we should make but rarely ever do or if we do we never cater for their strengths.
 
Plays on the shoulder of the last defender. Pace to burn. Good finisher.
We haven't had a striker like this for years, and he'd be perfect for the current pedestrian side.

Maybe we should just sign Peterboro's striker scout though?
