• All - you probably don't need to be told, but....
Despite the Admins' best efforts some spammers/scammers/scalpers are getting through the entry system and are, astonishingly, in possession of FA Cup tickets that they, astonishingly, don't want!

It's probably a scam, and either way it's a criminal offence under section 166 of the Criminal Justice and Public Order Act 1994, (as amended by the Violent Crime Reduction Act 2006) to offer or expose tickets for sale.

Please DO NOT engage with these people - please REPORT any threads/posts offering tickets for sale in case we've not caught them.
    Thanks!

I know I promised to be Captain Optimistic this season, but I honestly think that the talk of Brennan coming back to Forest in the summer of 2025 is so far off the mark I’m surprised so many are thinking it even remotely possible.

No Thanks, better players required now we have moved on from him and more to the point his DAD
Would better players want to come to Forest and be benched like Sosa?

At least Brennan knows he'll have to fight for a place for his boyhood club and it gives Elanga competition to up his game.

Even if he wasn’t a homegrown player for us, I’d welcome Johnson signing here. He’s super quick and scores goals. Every time I see him for Spurs he looks a goal threat and is far from being the problem there.

The problem would be Levy gouging us for a huge fee to save face and then it gets to a price where you could probably get a better player.

Only way way this happens in my opinion is if we're sell Elanga to free up FFP wiggle room.

We could sell Elanga and bank what might be £50m up front, then buy BJ back at the price we paid for him (Levy won't let him go for less) and on a fiver year deal that's £10m on the books for this year.

Gives £40m towards other signings, and may give us the space to bat away Murillo interest?

I don't know what the financials involved would be, because I'm not privy to that information at Forest or at Spurs, nor whether Brennan would actually be interested in returning to Forest.

That being said, if the finances were right and Brennan did have an interest then for me, it's a no f***ing brainer.

Playing with a counter attacking style, as we do, one of the key components for that, is being able to get up the pitch at speed. Brennan, with Elanga, is one of the fastest players in the league and he's been perfecting those late runs into the box while at Spurs. Something that I think we do lack sometimes is someone driving into the box or getting in behind. Elanga does it, and Wood sometimes does it, but Brennan also did it here and did it well.

Having him means that we would rely less on Elanga/CHO/Wood, as Elanga can play all across the front, Johnson can play as a striker or on the right and CHO can play left or right. Having CHO, Elanga and Brennan to stretch teams in the last 15-20 minutes when Wood has done his thing for 60-70, you get a feel for why that might be quite effective.

He obviously has quite a long standing working relationship with Neco, but he also worked incredibly well with Gibbs-White as well in that first season under Cooper.

Obviously, the homegrown player would be a benefit and I suppose from an emotional point of view, him returning would be nice but if you asked me if I'd rather we spent 45-50 on Brennan than 62 on Cunha, I'd say Brennan all day.
