Elanga has been pretty anonymous the last few games he's played but let's not forget this happened alot with Brennan too. Both are confidence players.

It doesn't really matter anyway - he has moved on.
Hopefully he repays us with a couple of corkers against Luton on Saturday
You could certainly argue that we now have CHO & Elanga at a combined cost of less than 50% of what we got for BJ.
That is good business, although I sure that I will be reminded that we didn't invest the other 50% as wisely.

The way they play just blunts his greatest attributes. Though he seems to have forgotten that he can run fast, never seems to try to take on the full back. But yeah if we could go back in time I'd take nearly £50m for him again, no regrets.

From what I saw he created Spurs' three big chances? They carried far more threat down the right but you have Madison turning one way, the other and back again before punting something hopeful over the shoulder of Walker on the left.
I think most of Brennan's 'problem' is that he isn't the player some want him to be. Great footballer though, and currently very much doing his job.

He has 5 goals and 9 assists yet Spurs fans seem to despise him. I think that’s decent for his first year at a new club and his second year in the PL.
Maddison has 4 goals and 8 assists for comparison.
MGW tops both of them though with 10 assists and 5 goals.
If they hate him that much they can sell him back to us on the cheap.

I don't think Brennan's ceiling is a club competing for the top four, if I'm being honest. I think he'll always have a certain amount of inconsistency in his game which at that level, you cannot forgive.
Him and Morgan were a joy to watch together but then Spence and Brennan were a joy to watch together too. I also can imagine that this season's Neco and Brennan would have done bits together as well.
That said, I don't see Spurs pulling the plug any time soon and Levy never offers cut price anything. He's not a £35m+ player, as it stands.

I agree mate, Brennan is all about hitting the byline or showing his killer instinct to get goals. That will always rack up numbers for him.
But there is that extra level you need to look good at the very top. I had never thought his all round game was close to being good enough for that level, I am surprised he's played as much as he has in all honesty.
I do think he's a good fit for Ange's system and philosophy, but a lot of the "issues" revolve around Spurs fans dreams that they're meant to be far better than they are. 5th - especially after losing Kane - is a bloody good result, and Brennan has contributed to that outcome, whether the Spurs community know it or not.

Spurs finished 8th last season on 60 points. Lost Harry, bought in Ange and are now 5th on 71 points with a game to play. SPurs fans can get stuffed if thats not good enough.

I know it's an extremely superficial criticism but Ange's voice really grates on me; would struggle to listen to his interviews if he were our manager

I loved him when he managed my local team in Melbourne Victory. Just took us to another level. I will forever be grateful for what he did for us ( and our national team)but his arrogance did do my head in after awhile… but he’s Greek after all
