He’s a busted flush now. If Coops still has job in January he’ll go to Leicester.

If not he’ll see out his contract out and end up at Derby

If Spurs offered him back for £25M would you take him back?

Yes.

His real value is near to the £47m we got for him so it would be a good deal.

We really don’t need BJ back.
He offers nothing more than what we already have along with hardly ever tracking back which both CHO and Elanga do a lot of.
What always annoyed me about him was the constant poor attempts to win free kicks then moaning for ages with the game still going on.
Let Spurs keep him.

Without a doubt, Spurs wouldn't go for it but I'd take a loan as well, got a lot of time for him.

It always felt like Spurs for him was going to be like when Zaha went to United, the team was catered around him here and the counter attacking we did suited his game.

Spurs fans really don't like him.

Johnno shone like a diamond in a coal mine with Forest because he was a real talent among mainly average players.
He was also living in his home town surrounded by his friends and family.
Now he is just another decent player among a collection of talent, and is away from home in the big city.
I think he is probably missing Forest, and missing his home.
I’m not sure it is a good thing to bring back former players, so I’d pass if he was available.

Watched Newcastle vs spurs, johnson came on forced a own goal, pope error but near the end of the match he did his trademark cut into the box and crossed it across the 6th yard box, neither side got on the end of it. Tottenham fans though are berating him for not looking up before crossing, how I see it he has done his job by getting a dangerous cross in, strikers should be in the 6 yard box to put the ball away.

Seems like sangare situation fans are just beating him with the transfer fee stick but don't get what they are expecting to achieve? Win a argument that he wasn't worth the transfer fee?

He missed a good opportunity just before Newcastle scored the winner so that’s what they’ll remember even though he was their best player in the second half.

If they don't want him, bring him home.

I think Jonno's done pretty well for them personally, what was it 4 goals and 6 assists in the second half of last season?

But then Spurs fans are amongst the most deluded in the country so it doesn't surprise me they can't see it

Problem was that they paid a premium price for him and he was sold as an elite player but he’s just not got the tools to be an elite player.

He’s good. He does what he does. But he’s not got anything at a top level other than pace.

Some of us said this at the time though.

He's a decent finisher, but he's not that natural, he isn't instinctive in the sense someone like Chris Wood is, for example. Most of the opportunities he has are reliant on the pace to get into the place where he has time to think about the finish and that's when he usually hits the target. If he has less time it's usually not as successful.

As a winger his end product for things like crosses/assists is also a bit variable.

Take 10-20% of his speed away and he's borderline not a PL player IMO.

We got more because they could market a higher ceiling for a player who had stood out in a struggling defensive side after 1 PL season.

Agree with this. But that doesn't hide the fact that it was terrible recruitment by Spurs. BJ is totally unsuited for their style of play. He needs space to run into at pace, whereas Spurs control possession and regularly have to play in tight spaces to break down a packed defence and that highlights his technical faults.

One place he would succeed at the moment is Man Utd. I could see him being a success there right now.
