To be honest I dont know what type of striker he is, as I dont know much about him other than he's a striker that seems to have been doing well so far this season and that we've been linked with before. However, if hes a young version of Adebola then maybe it'd be good?

In a different situation I'd be delighted to have Leon Best here. He's scored more than any of our strikers have this season and has looked generally sharp when I've seen him play but we have six players who generally we classify as strikers and we have a nice balance to them. If we are to push for promotion too and go up (Big if I know) then is he up to the standard we'd need in the Premiership? If the club think the answer is yes and I was Billy I'd "let slip" that we wanted to sign him on a free at the end of the year so he knew of our intentions and held out for our offer.

I think it was last season's Jan transfer window, and after he didn't sign for us he went on a bit of a scoring run as if to get the Coventry fans back on his side. So yes, it was before we signed McGoldie and Adebola, but Adebola is getting on a bit (in relative years for a footballer) and there are always those rumours about Earnie going.

He's always been a handful and now his goalscoring seems to be finding some consistency.

Adebola's not got long left and I'd much rather have Best as the alternative to Blackstock as the big 'target man' up top.

I agree he's a better player than Adebola but would he be content playing back up as Adebola is? And if we did lose Adebola to make way for Best where are we going to get rid of him too? From what come out of the club too Adebola seems like a good role model to the younger players and has the experience behind him to help others improve their game. I think while not a better player he's possibly better as the battering ram player we use him for as he's caused trouble so many times coming on late and been key to a few goals.
