Arijanet Muric

Alf-engelos Mindminackers

The Artiste formally known as "Wanksy"
Tbf he's had several years to mature since we had him. He still ay turn into a decent keeper, he was just so clearly miles off that when we loaned him that it set alarm bells ringing big time.

Also, his first clanger was within seconds of his first start.

That's got to be a massive dent to the confidence.

Muric... should figure in the worst performance by a Fores player thread.
Surely no-one in ther right mind wuld actually pay good money for him?
After Forest, i thought he had packed in football and become an Uber Driver.

They will be in for a shock when they are replacing Pope with Muric. He is genuinely one of the worst keepers I have seen.

Burnley's recruitment under Kompany seems to be target any player that played for Man City at one point.
I'd say he is a huge downgrade on Hennessey, never mind Pope. They can't be signing him to be first choice, surely?

This was a possibility

But he dropped the keys down a drain on his first shift and it didn't happen

To be fair to him it’s a long time ago he was here.
I’ve always felt that developing as a top level goalie must be the most difficult position. Most of them who don’t have a number 1 shirt just train day after day with the coaches and their peers and getting an opportunity is hard. Then when when they do when they make mistakes they are hugely visible and naturally fans label them as shit rather than learners. It takes a tough bugger to get to the top under those circumstances

Not saying Muric is any good by the way-ive paid no attention to him at all since he left, so no pileing on!

Starts tonight for Burnley in the first Championship game of the season. What are the odds of another Muric calamity today?

He didn’t have anything to do, I could have looked like Ederson last night
But when pressed he was comfortable on the ball and was basically like another outfield player. You could see why City had him.

Didn't have a shot to save as is the norm against Huddersfield but with his feet he was excellent.

He was always good with his feet, the rest of your game isn’t a problem if you are that dominant every game

That’s why he looked good at Man City

Goalkeepers though, need to be good with their hands, and their positioning - Muric displayed neither of those trends when at Forest.

Burnley are definitely gonna beat us though?

Had he stopped the ball crossing the line with his hands what would have happened?

The rules say that the keeper is allowed to pick up the ball if he had attempted to kick it out into play from a backpass, but he looks as if he's tried to control the ball before attempting to kick it into play.

From the rules, the penalty for the keeper touching the ball with his hand appears to be an indirect free kick, but how would that work if the keeper has to be 10 yards from the ball and the offence was less than a foot out? Would the keeper be booked or sent off had he stopped it going in the goal? A keeper handling the ball outside the area is handball and a direct free kick so why is it an indirect free kick in the area?
