AS it always looked like this bid was leverage, not surprising. They felt that the bid was derisory and wasted little time in making it known to Nottingham Forest by rejecting the offer.
Guess who's backDerisory.
Nottingham Forest Fail With Bid For Brighton Target Alex Moreno
Spanish outfit Real Betis have rejected a bid from Nottingham Forest for Brighton target Alex Moreno this summer.insidefutbol.com
Both versatile, left sided players.Don't Moreno and Cornet play different positions?

Cornet is also available for less than Moreno's supposed asking price, and has Premier League experience.Think Cornet has played left back, but is more effective in an advanced role. He'd be the obvious choice for me since we already have toffolo and Richards will heal.
We also have a decent French contingent within the playing staff. Also, if Cornet can settle in bloody Burnley then he should be fine in Nottingham!
Basing this purely on stats and credentials as I've never knowingly seen either him or Richards play. I think if Moreno signed he'd arguably be first choice when everyone is fit.Not sure I understand this unless Richards is out for much longer than initially advised.
If we don’t trust Toff to cover why did we buy him, also, Neco can cover LB if needed with the lad from Troyes playing RB.
I’ll learn all the names soon.
You might be right but then I’d question why we’ve spent 10m on left back if he wasn’t considered the outright first choice.Basing this purely on stats and credentials as I've never knowingly seen either him or Richards play. I think if Moreno signed he'd arguably be first choice when everyone is fit.
He's in his prime in terms of age, has played week in week out for Betis in La Liga who finished 5th last season and 6th the season before and has even been chipping in with goals and assists from full back. Richards has played far less football, particularly in the last 12 months. Richards has age on his side but for the here and now Moreno would probably be the better choice.
