I sat next to him in the away end when we lost at Ipswich 6-0...poor guy looked like he wanted to be anywhere else!!
Side note - check out this team...dark days
Nottm Forest: Gerrard, Curtis, Melville, Morgan, Doig, Rogers (Perch 59), Friio, Powell (Evans 56), Commons, Dobie (Harris 56)...
It's sort of amusing that for years fans would get outraged at a lack of investment by club owners, and now we also have to get outraged at too much investment.
Lord knows if there is one thing football needs it's more reasons for fans to be outraged.
Thanks for replying. The way I had seen it written it seemed more like "You signed Awoniyi? You're gone!" rather than Awoniyi being one of a number of players or reported factors
I'm surprised by that list of players attributed to him as I would have thought Williams, Toffolo, LOB especially...
I've seen this in a lot of places and from your posts you see to follow the media stuff - who actually said this? I thought Awoniyi looked good from day one so it always seems strange when I see people say someone was sacked for signing him. I don't follow behind the scenes stuff but it sounds...
I thought they were very complimentary. Marsche was comparing the amount of chances Awoniyi gets in general to Haaland - I was only half watching the Man City game and remember at least three good chances he got supplied for him, against West Ham I only remember Awoniyi getting the one chance...
That's something I'd noticed too. We're so used to wingers being the players who you accept will lose the ball, it's a massive bonus to have someone who can recognise when he won't get passed someone and instead of trying anyway just makes sure we retain the ball to go again.
If it wasn't a second booking it would have just been one of a dozen or two similar incidents in the same game. Would have been the same in every other game too
Weirdly when players get kicked on the foot they go down, who'd have thought. Philips is a strong top level athlete attempting to kick...
Also "If we're now sending players off for attempting to win the ball, then the game is in a perilous situation"
Is that a joke? It's not exactly new that it's a foul if you go for the ball and get the player. Holgate was attempting to win the ball, so by his logic that shouldn't even be a...
Are you two at the game? Listening to it they've said he's made a couple of good saves, was the goal his fault?
Edit - just seen the goal on match thread, didn't think there was any footage tonight!
I thought the same thing, CHO or Elanga does either of those touches move breaks down and twitter tells us they're awful and League One standard!
Great finish though
I don't have much technical speak to add but
If you had offered me this squad and position but with a FFP breach at any point over the last 23 years I'd have bitten your hand off
and if we do get a points deduction I hope we don't do any embarrassing marches, pleas to our local MP, badly...
