Huckerby was Forest best loan signing, wasn't he?

Michael Stewart? Mikkel Beck? Or how about one of the goalkeepers that were with us for the best part of a few hours - Federici, Konstantopoulos..?

Kevin Gomis. One of the fantastic five that prompted a mid match outpouring of love for Fawaz from all corners of the WFCG.

One of the defining moments of the last decade at Forest. Fans love their transfer windows as much as their football these days. And the spontaneous applause for Fawaz during the home game against Yeovil Town was confirmation that in great wisdom of us fans, that particular transfer window had been a belter.

As well as huckerby, other good loans I can think of, or players who looked class were Richard Gough, Ian Wright, Nick barmby, Nicky shorey, Robbie Blake, Ben Olsen.

Should have signed the last 3 and huckerby. Not signing huckerby was criminal. Also Blake for 500k

Yeah, Blake and Shorey were two that were talked about for a long time afterwards.

Shorey is destined to talked about forever by the Billy bots.

We had Dexter Blackstock and Chris Gunter on loan before signing them permanently, didn't we? They weren't too shabby.

The others were Fox and Djebbour weren't they? I think Gomis played one match and that was it, though I seem to recall that he wasn't terrible and he wasn't particularly amazing, hard to tell from that amount of play really.

As well as Shorey I think we got Konchesky and Bertrand on loan the season after, who were pretty decent.

Certainly I haven't been overly fussed with any of our recent loans. Aaron Ramsey was good but because he had just come back from that shawcross tackle and we had some bad weather didn't really play much for us, but did do well in that 5-2.

Not sure loans we signed should be included really...

Just excuses really mate. You could say Andrea Silenzi was a top Italian scorer. In another reality he came to Britain and lead us into Europe. In reality it was a shit purchase.

When you're playing in the same side as Maradona it makes you look better than you are. Even a broken clock is right twice a day.

We've certainly perfected the disaster loan too.

 Hopefully after last year the club now recognises the difference between loaning a kid in for a go, and thinking those kids will be able to take us to the playoffs.

No probs with said punts when we've signed core quality players. But stupid to be relying on these players like we did last year.

Mir, Semedo, Muric, Diakhaby - all abject failures. They should only ever come here for 0 loan fee, on f*** all wages, and as a "bonus" addition.

huckerby , shorey and blake were never going to happened under our then owner and his lackey , marthur.

gough came way too late on loan , had he been on loan at the start of the season, we wouldn't have been relegated. the fact that gough was still able to play one more season in the top flight with everton after forest got relegated tells you that he was definitely still good enough.

Just been told he played 14 games for Willem last season, conceding 29 goals in that time, so just over 2 goals per game. Willem finished 14th out of 18th.

No idea what anyone saw in him to think he was up to the champ the season before. (Yes I know we didn't actually look at players, but you get my drift)

Yet to keep a clean sheet for his current side this season too.

I'm sure in a few seasons time he'll make the step up somewhere, but if you want one example what allowing a suit who's never played the game to sign players can get you, it's this lad. So far out his depth here it was unreal.

I genuinely believe some people at the club just think "oh he's young and on XYZ Premier League club's books, he must be good"

Muric may be a Man City player but if he ever plays a first team game for them I'll buy a hat solely for the purpose of eating it, which I will then do

Yeah it's a good job we signed Samba to replace him

Pretty sure it was the goalkeeping coach we had at the time, who worked with MON and who had spent time at City, that wanted to bring him in?
