You're correct, insolvency law is different to England. We have to engage specialists north of the border if a Scottish company comes to us.Rangers started the liquidation process at the start of June I think after about 4 months in admin after being unable to agree a CVA. The goodwill was then brought and transferred to Rangers Sevco (or whatever it was called) the new company applied to transfer their membership of the SPL across to the newco but failed and so were then placed in the lowest Scottish division (4th?) but none of the players agreed to carry their contracts over to the new club so left.
Now insolvency laws in Scotland are a bit different than in England if I remember from my old days in Finance.
It was a mess but I think pales into comparison with what DCFC face as they had all the pieces in place already to just go again as they owned their ground for example and it all came with the club ready to go and they were a massive draw still.
