Nations League

England are as dull as dishwater at the mo and have been for sometime.
Considering all the players Southgate could pick, that is unbelievable Jeff.
He just sticks with his favourites and plays safe, boring to watch.

It strikes me that UEFA invented the Nations League to replace pointless friendlies, with a pointless Nations League.

The games with their strange team selections remind me of friendlies.

The admins do it again, I suppose the great and the good of International football have to show they are doing more than calculating their expenditure claims.

The Nations league this year does seem a bit of a drag right at the end of the season. That said, as an avid Wales fan, it's been great to see Brennan Johnson look the real deal at international level. A couple of Welsh players linked with us in the last couple of weeks have also performed well.

Yawn, is there yet another game tomorrow?

What with the majority of games being on some obscure channel and most not really bothered about it, the whole thing is about as interesting as that Saudi golf thing won by some bloke who earned more in one day than in the last four years. And most of them, if you listen to the empty words, aren't even in it for the money.

Why are they still playing football.

If I was a player I would tell them to piss off and go on my holidays. Pre-season will start for most teams next Monday.

Not to mention it's a completely irrelevant tournement summed up that you can't even watch it anywhere.

Anyone off here going to the match at Wolves tomorrow night?
Is this one just for preteens too or was that just the Italy match?

That was just the Italy match. England were ordered to play it 'behind closed doors' because of trouble it the Euros but owing to some sort of loophole they were allowed to let a few under 14s in.

A some teams are leaving their main players on the beach and giving some youngsters a blooding on the international stage which seems the best use for this thing.

Hansi Flick has used the matches to give a few fringe players a go, and one or two might have thrown their hat into the ring for a World Cup squad place (Jonas Hoffman for one).

However the matches have not proved popular with the public, you can still get tickets for the match tomorrow at Borussia-Park in Mönchengladbach, which a rarity for Die Nationalelf.

Bukayo Saka to me is so overrated. Picked for his work rate I think and not his attacking ability. He’s not a bad player obviously just so criminally overrated.

Hope Southgate has a good world cup.

England will be looking at Cooper if we have a good start.

S4C, sky channel 134

Brennan already got one and almost nicked another from pressing their GK high

It's in Welsh but it's still better than most commentators even not knowing a word they are saying.
