I felt guilty at the Fulham game as the person behind me was quite short and I'm 6'4. As the entire Bridgdord was standing in front of me I had no option other than to stand. I did offer to swap with her but as she was with a larger group and 2 of us she declined.
I'm not quite that tall (but not far off) and I'm always conscious when standing at things (especially nearer the front) whether shorter people are behind and can see.

If you're not tiered, like on staging or in a football stand, then it's even more important really

Brace yourselves folks, they are going to move us to Toton or some other dreadful out of town location. Don't like it? Well as the club was quite happy to state in their social media posts today, you are replaceable.

The club openly showing how little it cares for its loyal fans tells me that they don't give a f'ck about us or our opinions, or the clubs history or traditions. I have no doubt in my mind that they want to move us away from the City Ground now so they can cram more tourists and glory hunters into a soulless bowl at the expense of those who have loved and followed the club through thick and thin.

Highly unlikely though the chance of moving is Ash, if it does happen it won't be to to Toton.

Marinakis has an estimated wealth of $3 Bn. Even in this era of higher interest rates he should be able to borrow against his assets (should he choose) . Equally, you'd hope with a different climate that local politicians would make the case for investment to boost the local economy. Proper leveliing up rather than just allowing London to get ever bigger.

He could, should he choose, borrow against it.

I'm not saying that these politicians will. What I am saying is it's in their gift. Rather than writing a letter complaining, they should do something about it. Make plans, go out and sell them and raise the money.

How else do big infrastructure projects get built?

I'm not saying it;s likely. Just that's it not impossible. Why give up without trying?

Everton got huge loans - which now they can't finance due to the impact of Ukraine/ Russian sanctions - but seemingly turned down finance from the council who could see the local benefits.
Easy to say when its not your money though.

Quite remarkably his investment so far isnt appreciated by certain sections of our fan base, some even claim to be able to run the club better than him.

He'll have his limits and rightly so.

Asked AI to generate new football ground for NFFC.
Here are the results.

I agree with Otis @Ashley we won't be moving to Toton.
Toton is being used to soften us up for somewhere that is still absolutely wank but slightly less shit than Toton.
The clubs attitude to the fans absolutely fukcing stinks and the season ticket prices will turn out to be the tip of the iceberg. The Premier league isn't about fans, it's for consumers and people today are too soft to fight it.

The problem is that because of their obsession to show ambition they have forgotten the most important part of what will make their plans come together, being established in the Premier League. If we go down then the way our transfer policy operates and wih the state of ouwn finances now I could well envisgae a prolonged stay outside the top flight again. You don't get many high paying tourist fans to fleece when you're outside the Premier League looking in.

I moved house seven years ago. I had been in the previous house 25 years lived with my wife, we were happy, had a thriving business (just a small bookshop in a lovely little market town) then she died. I stayed on because I loved the house and village and the area.

Then number two daughter had a few problems, so I thought I ought to move and help her out.

Didn't have a lot of choice, didn't want to buy old and start DIY etc, so bought new on an estate (or development, as the agents called it).

Now I love it, it's modern, warm, everything works, neighbours are lovely and I'm close to my girls.

You get used to everything in time.

Your overall point is spot-on Wes, but I'm personally still to be convinced that talk of moving is anything other than for the benefit of the city council.

I have not been in the centre of Grantham, or driven through the town, since that statue of Thatcher was erected.

Re the stadium, it is clear from the comments on here that the current facilities are sadly lacking in many ways. Come on Forest, do something other than fleecing your hard core fans.

If it becomes clear that what is both needed and wanted can't be achieved at the current site then relocation must be considered ... if it hasn't already been. My guess is that it has. A few weeks ago Chairman Tom apparently showed Danny Taylor the plans for the redeveloped stadium, including the Bridgford. I wold feel better about the pricing of tickets if those plans are made available to the paying customer.

Probably London.
Well, you never know; if Luton Airport can get away with branding itself „London Luton“, then maybe „London Nottingham“ is worth a try?

Gamston Bridge anyone? Tollerton? I suspect that one of the long-awaited announcements will be made soon, and that will be to 'test the water' about alternative locations.
