So random that Blackburn rovers player sammie smodicz is the championship top goal scorer with 24 goals and 30 in all competitions. He’s been playing for 10 years mainly at league one and two level and his best before this season was 15 goals in league one for peterbough.

To top it all off he is not a striker, he’s a midfielder and I has only just recently earned his first cap for Ireland at the age of 28 as the previous 10 seasons he wasn’t good enough.

Unfortunately Leicester 1-0 at half time.

Just missed a penalty to make it 2-0. The softest, most debatable penalty so justice done.

Yeah not sure how that was even a penalty. Two players bump into each other shoulder to shoulder just outside the box. Some teams/players get those don't they.

Leicester have had 13 pens this season so it seems they are one of those teams. Have we had a pen yet this season btw?

The pundit at half time said there was no debate about the penalty. WTF. It probably wasn’t in the area and was at best bought.

Brighton appears to be the only one

Better the odd howler gets through than the current system IMO. Not sure who the lino is but if he officiates in PL he’s probably out of practice.

Talking of Leeds, remember that blatant hand ball which gave them a win in a hard fought game at Elland Road? Oh for VAR we said! How hollow does that sound now.

VAR itself isn't the issue here

It's the way it's being implemented

Someone said it best on another thread somewhere on here recently; VAR in English football is basically legalised match fixing. It's a tool used to help certain teams and protect "the brand".

Much like FFP, the purpose of VAR (in English football at least) has nothing to do with fairness or correcting errors. And to anyone who follows a non-Sky Sports Six team that has dealt with FFP and VAR it's starting to become very obvious.
