Mood update - encouraged. First 45 minutes yesterday was awesome. Eagerly waiting for Luton to lose tonight (please God!) and for news on the Everton points deduction. #fucktheEPL

Second half perormance was a massive red flag for me. You cant continue to be that easy to score against. I know people will be upset with my pessissmism but a fact that came out last night was that was the 2nd time ever we had scored 3 goals in the first half of a premier league game. It is not a healthy position to be in to be relying on scoring 3+ goals every game. We need to stop dropping deep and inviting crosses thats simple as. If we continue in that vain we will go down. This is a legacy from the Cooper era that Nuno has failed to change.

Second half I thought we were actually harder to score against than in recent times. My expectation was that after conceding the first goal, we'd fall apart under the pressure from the never ending stream of corners and free-kicks and lose 4-3.

I did have a heart in mouth moment when Willian curled one just around the post - was convinced it was in from angle. They had chances - woodwork twice was it and a good save or two - though you could say the same about us.

Aye, swings and roundabouts, fine margin etc.

36 crosses we dealt with, perhaps we just wanted the practice.

I watched the podcast with mark and he brought that star up. We can’t continue to drop deep we only ever lose points from that. It’s great we were 3-0 up but that dosen’t happen often. We need to compete a hell of lot more. I’m not a person who fantasies over possession but dropping deep and only having 32% possession at home to a team comparable to us isn’t good enough. We have a squad value now similar to Bournemouth, Fulham, Brentford, Palace yet we play worse football sometimes than Luton, Burnley and Sheff U. The performances at home to Sheff u and Burnley earlier in the season were not acceptable to me. Especially for a side that’s spent as much as we have.

I’m supporting the boys obviously and want to stay up but things have to drastically change next year. Cooper and Nuno haven’t hit the level of quality that this team has. Cooper failed with Wood and played Gibbs White out wide which is now balmy looking at it and nunos defence coaching has been non existent. both have very poor game plans by sitting deep. If we have to sell Gibbs white we are down next season anyway if we don’t have a better game plan.

I'm happy we play good football and have ambition.

And I'll be happy we've still got a club to support next year.

Just had an email regarding season ticket renewal. Fair to say my mood is one of disgust.

Totally disillusioned. Now I have to decide whether to put myself in a rough financial position for a few months for what is currently a miserable experience.

Apprehensive.

There's a way out of this mess for us, but it feels like the Gods have to be with us.

If we get to the Summer still a Prem outfit, then we really need to get our shit together on the recruitment front. There's been signs it's improved in some ways, but panic an vanity signings need to be reduced to a bare minimum (like a junkie, I don't expect us to go cold turkey lol)

Questions. Has anyone actually enjoyed this season? Is this how football is going to be from now on?
This season has been frankly magnificent, with swashbuckling, entertaining football on display, played by a side without fear who play as a team and want to attack. A lot.

But then, I seem to have been mostly watching my local side.

If you mean Forest, then, well, no, and yes.

Can you not keep the club informed of your intention to make the transaction and do so by the end of August when inflation will ensure your bank balance is healthier and you know which division they will be in, ensuring more sustainability due to less stress. Pretty sure you aren't breaching any rules here.
