Arsenal away late on, ball rolls along Declan Rice outstretched arm (in an unnatural position) from a corner while we were chasing game at 2-1.

Worth a listen. I'm glad people are coming out fighting now

Simon Jordan is an articulate chap and very good at dominating conversations on that basis - but he's still ultimately singing from the same hymn sheet as Neville, Shearer et al here by talking all around the actual issue without ever addressing it.

He also completely ties himself in knots here by stating he is for transparency with regards VAR on one hand - only to go onto say in the very next breath that Forest shouldn't be able to demand the audio of the contentious VAR calls because it would set a dangerous precedent - that precedent being essentially the very same transparency he just said he was for.

I find the PGMOL as out of touch with the real world. To say "you can listen to the audio Forest but we won't let the public hear it" is tone deaf, Sunak style defensive stuff. Pathetic organisation, just looking after its own. Bad for the game. Get them gone ... not the technology, them.
PGMOL, the PL and the FA are all pathetic. As are their media shills.

Surely, they can't stop NFFC from publicly appraising what is heard.

I mean, releasing the audio of VAR calls sets a dangerous precedent for what exactly? The people behind it being held accountable for their jobs? A dangerous precedent of not being able to cover up certain decisions?

There is not one good argument for not releasing for audio of VAR calls, not one. If they had nothing to hide, all VAR audio would be made available to the public.

And many of these "news" outlets have enabled unprecedented levels of corruption in British politics also.

The press/media in this country have played a huge part in shaping the country into what it is today. If we are living in a "Trumpian, post-truth era" as they claim, well... they played their part in making it that way.
Telegraph has definitely got worse recently. If that's possible. Seemed to get worse when UAE buyout was closed. I think it's back in the hands of Lloyds banking group now though.
Can't believe they even considered allowing it to be sold to UAE

It just fuels the conspiracy chat.

Which is probably what they want now, to deflect from their rank incompetence.

Yep. It reflects very poorly on them still. If there is nothing wrong with the VAR audio, then the easiest thing for them to do would be to make it publicly available and make Forest look foolish.

I doubt they can but if similar shit happens again we'll get bugger all.
A bit like when I lost my missus and claimed on the insurance to pay the mortgage off I got a letter off the insurance company. We do realise that we have no right to see your wife's medical records but if you don't give us permission we may have difficulty in paying out on this policy.
I did ask the solicitor what I should do and his answer was "they've got you by the bollox there son".

You should separate the list out into individual decisions rather than group by game in my opinion otherwise you lose the scale of it somewhat.

If you did that you can add three more lines immediately (1 Everton away becomes 3, 1 Bournemouth home becomes 2).

Also think your missing the Isak dive which won Newcastle a penalty. Sorry "minimal contact" not dive.

Yes, I was going to do that the next time I added anything

For what it's worth, Clattenburg was responsible for the only refereeing performance I've ever seen with my own two eyes that I thought could have been described as "corrupt". He followed that up after the game with *allegedly* telling David Moyes (our manager at the time), "You can't give a penalty against Liverpool in the last minute". Moyes went on live TV immediately afterwards and claimed the refereeing had been biased. He was, predictably, charged by the PL but then charges were dropped and it was all hushed up and Clattenburg didn't referee another Everton game for years. It was over 6 years before he was seen back at Goodison.

I find the hypocrisy of Clattenburg being front and centre of this whole "corruption" thing at the minute a little bit galling
Yep, he’s an absolute ****!
