Snatchday 1: Nottingham Forest Vs the PGMOL

This is a pretty damning list in terms of quantity over the course of a season.

It's still missing some:

1) Handball not given vs Bournemouth because "VAR not sure if in area or not" (Same game as Boly sending off.)
2) 3x Everton decisions just gone...

Why allow only the club to listen to the audio privately? Why not be totally transparent and allow it to be released publically?

They really don't like not being in total control, don't they? They are incompetent in everything they touch.

Yates penalty was Everton. They scored just after . So the Woods penalty must have been Brighton
Cool...

2) 3x Everton decisions just gone...
1) I didn't know that was the same game
2) they were already on

- Brentford - Ivan Toney incident with the foam distracted ref (Maupay) leading to a goal
Darren England

- Liverpool (h), referee completely ignores the rules and gives Liverpool possession after a head clash, they score in the last minute, we lose.
Paul Tierney

- Bournemouth (h), Boly red card at 0-0, we play most of the game with 10 men, we lose. Also pen or FK not given for hand ball in the box because VAR didn't know it was in the box
Rob Jones

- Newcastle, Awoniyi taken out at 0-0, no review, we lose.
Anthony Taylor

- West Ham, Williams taken out, no review, we win.
Thomas Bramall

- Spurs, Maddison punches Yates in the stomach, they do review but see nothing wrong with it, we lose.
Simon Hooper

- Everton (a), 3 clear penalties, no reviews for any of them - same incidents given to other teams on the same day, we lose.
Anthony Taylor

- Brentford, Niakhate red card
Paul Tierney

- Man U - Pen on Rashford for dive/Worrall red
Stuart Attwell

- Everton (h), No pen given for a clear foul on Yates
Paul Tierney

- Brighton (a), no pen given for foul on Neco
Michael Salisbury

- Brighton (h), pen given for foul by Wood almost exactly same as Yates one not given for us the week before
Anthony Taylor

There's been so many bizarre decisions against us this season you legitimately can't remember them all.

Case in point, I'd completely forgotten about the "VAR can't give the penalty because we can't confirm the handball was in the box - despite the defender in question clearly being within his own penalty area when it hit his hand" incident until I rewatched the highlights someone linked earlier in the thread.

Maybe my anger at the Boly decision just overshadowed any other memory of that game - but regardless, it happened...and was a terrible decision that VAR got completely wrong...when the game was 0-0.

Never known anything like this in all my years of watching football - and for it to all be somehow ratified by VAR too.

It's now absurd to the point that I'm half expecting Jeremy Beadle to turn up at the end of the season and reveal it's all been an elaborate prank.
I was at that game & I really thought the player that Boly was supposed to have fouled was going to be red carded.......he came in late and over the ball. Boly clearly won the ball. He was given his second yellow & off he went. VAR though doesn't look at second yellows even when they result in a sending off. The decision was one of the worst of I've ever seen in football. It was so clearly wrong.

You can usually tell be the crowds reaction if a foul has been committed. When Boly made the challenge everyone around me stood up and applauded a great tackle. The Bournemouth player completely bought that yellow card and the ref fell for it. He should have consulted VAR before taking a decision.

VAR is also creating a situation whereby it's driving heavy traffic to the media outlets after the game and during the week because of it's controversy. The media love controversy and I'm starting to believe that because of the additional traffic and viewership that behind closed doors they actually want VAR to stay.

The ref had such a clear view of it though - and what happened was so obvious even in real time. Even with the Bournemouth player dicking around, there's no way the ref should have fallen for it.

Just such an inexplicable decision all round - the only way I can make sense of it in my mind is that the ref must have really, really wanted to send Wily Boly off and was looking for any excuse to do it. Whether that's actually the case or not, I have no idea - but it was undeniably bizarre.

VAR was there to sort out "clear and obvious errors".
The Boly incident was "a clear and obvious error".
The crass error by Tierney giving the Scouse a drop ball which they sent upfield and scored from was "a clear and obvious error".
I can't remember the game, but a foul on a Forest player that VAR looked at to see if it was inside the box turned out to be a foul outside the box, butthe decision was "goal kick" to the defending team - " a clear and obvious error".
It is that simple - correct a clear and obvious error every time, or not at all.
And the correction should see the correct decision implemented on the field of play... if the foul in question was not inside the box, award the free-kick where the foul took place.
If it is a clear and obvious error resulting in a 2nd yellow being awarded incorrectly, recind the 2nd yellow.
It really is not f***ing rocket science (or even bain surgery for that matter).
Final point: if it was a Man U striker scoring the 4th goal in the Coventry v Man Ure semi-final, would VAR have ruled it offside?
Answers on a post-card to the usual address please.
(The correct answer is "No it wouldn't. the goal would have been awarded".
And that, folks, is why football at this level is no longer a fair competition.
It is corrupt.
And no amount of denial by the EPL/FA/PMGOL etc will convince me and the majority of fans.

P.P.S.: will Ashley Young be investigated for his post-match antics on social media, and given a 3-match ban for bringing the game into disrepute?
Again, answers on a post-card please.

Afternoon everyone, hope you’re keeping well. Here’s a short 3 minute video detailing why supporters of every team (not just Nottingham Forest) should be standing up against the PGMOL, Premier League, and football pundits. This could be a sliding doors moment not just for one club, but the entire sport as we know it. Glad to see Forest not backing down!

That did make me laugh mate .

Nice to see another video giving a different view to the biased media and all done in typical Uti style

f*** em we have done it now in for a penny in for a pound tell them to stick it and our original request stands for a public release of this im guessing they don't want this as its going to sound ridiculously amateurish did you hear Darren Fletcher talking about how he hears the conversation when he is on commentary as he shudders at how amature the whole thing is at times and he wishes he could record it

I tend to stay away from social media/youtube etc but looked at the comments under both of Uti's videos. I'm actually amazed at how much support Forest are getting from opposition fans. Is it like this on Twitter, Insta etc
My old man (86) commented on the phone earlier on that we were making ourselves a laughing stock, but he's probably only read the Mirror and watched Sky news. Corporate media either not reading the room or more likely not wanting to ?

As you allude to the older generations are only likely to see the mainstream TV stuff and their allegiance clearly lies within the PL and the PGMOL for broadcasting purposes. The true feelings outside of that is very different. The feeling on other social media platforms is pretty much replicated with what the other pieces you've seen

I have to say, I'm actually quite (pleasantly!) surprised how much backing we are getting from fans of other clubs.

Everyone knows VAR (and FFP) in this country is shit and what its true purpose actually is. We are just the first club to have the balls to stand up and declare that this shit actually stinks (like shit does) and doesn't smell of roses.

I suspect the matey nature of the VAR chat is part of the reason they are wanting this to be heard in private - We need to hear from Video Operator again, the one voice of truth and goodness at Stockley Park!

And if so is the precise reason it should be made public.

It would demonstrate they're not actually corrupt, they're just merely half-arsing their professionalism within a billion pound global industry. It would solicit change that is so badly needed without any of them going to jail.
