Season Cards 2024/2025

This rise seemed inevitable because the cost of a season ticket relative to the top tier of membership seemed way too cheap.

But surely the way to do this is to say "look, season tickets are gonna have to go up cos they're too cheap. So we'll do it the season AFTER next, to give everyone a chance to sort themselves out."

This is a good point. There's an awful lot of members who have been paying extortionate member rates and buying tickets on a match by match basis at crazy - I just paid a whopping £96 for two tickets to Man City, which makes a season card look cheap. Top tier members are likely to be loyal fans who haven't committed to a season ticket for various reasons (work, family, timing of games) and its's wrong that some are labelling them as tourists.

I think the club have acted appallingly this week with changing the age categories, timing of renewal and the badly judged tweets. I just wish the fan groups like Forza would make a comment on the high prices that members are already paying. Even Greg on Forest Focus (who I like) has banged on about season card prices and people missing out, but there needs to be an acknowledgement that member fans are making financial sacrifices every week and have been doing so for the past 2 years.

I really dont see how a few people not singing MOK will even be noticed or acknowledged.

I mean, if you want to make a stand, do it properly. Organise an actual protest, or something with the potential to have an impact. Pissing in the wind with silly token gestures.
You say that but the talk of it alone has generated at least 2 newspaper articles alone one of them being a headline.

Why does it bother you so much that people are doing what they feel is the right thing and at least trying to do something?

Constantly bashing other folks that are trying to stand up for themselves in the limited way they can is extremely unfair.

You seem to be dedicating a lot of time posting on something you say you don't care about.

If we do drop to The Championship, will the ticket exchange still be going?

My guess is not. I for one won't have much enthusiasm for a February midweek game against Plymouth.

I dont think im "bashing" anyone really.

I do care too, but simply of the opinion that not singing a song will be ineffective for those wanting a change. Im fully supportive of actual action and whilst its not something I would be involved its not something Im against.

If you dont like that then thats up to you, I dont care 👍

If token gestiues are effective then I will come back and say well done, I was wrong. Cant say fairer than that.

I strongly suggest A Scargill type revolt, but who is up to the job?......

My understanding of the ticket exchange is that it comes into operation when the game
is sold out.
As you say-I can’t see it being necessary for a midweek game against Plymouth or Millwall
in the depth of winter.

I really hope that as many of the crowd boycott MOK and protest at the Man City match as possible.

If the players need our support to win, then that should be factored in how finances are divided, and the players should forgo a small percentage of their wages to cover these price hikes.

Also, it's better that the supporters get this out of their systems now, against a side which is 99% gonna beat us, than in games we have a far more realistic chance of winning.

We don't want this spilling over into next season, especially if we're looking at a Championship promotion race.

Not singing MOK would be incredibly powerful for me, my concern is that it's a very difficult thing to stop. As soon as that music starts, you get swept up in it. It needs to be well publicised for it to work. Removing the banners won't make any difference, because there have already been games without banners. Like you've said, Man City are likely to beat us, so let's get it done before the Chelsea game.

Not singing mull of kintyre is a powerful message and folks have a right to do it but you continually saying things like "silly token gestures" and rallying against it can easily be construed as having a dig at those trying to do something.

I'm sure they could make a klarna, pay in 3 option available. To be honest I get people not being happy with the increases and it's a shame we don't have a bigger stadium to accommodate them and the new "fans" that are after tickets but sadly cost of tickets is and was something that was gonna rise with premier league football.

According to the BBC we have put a statement out saying there is a 11,000 waiting list for season tickets
I don’t believe this, a groundswell of an extra 5,000 fans with promotion to the Prem maybe, but 11,000? Even Leeds couldn’t achieve that.
For a decade we averaged around 23,000 before the promotion season and now we’ve suddenly got over 40,000 fans wanting season tickets.
Everyone who bought something online over the last 12 months who ticked the box "keep me informed of upcoming offers".

What are the details for relocating? Can imagine there will be a £10 waiting list to move to the cheap seats.
I read this thinking the £10 waiting list was a cynical jibe. Didn't realise it was a real thing.

£10 admin fee? Is a lawyer writing each email address down by hand?

Thats your opinion Notcher.

You can constitute anything you like in this day and age, like your claims that im "bashing" people, why dont you go the whole hog and report me because i disagree? I "bash" just stop oil protestors too that lay in roads because again, I personally think its a token gesture that will alter nothing. Thats my opinion and if anyone is seriously offended by that then god help them.

Im sorry but I dont conform to this notion that I cant say anything because somebody, somewhere, might not like it. I dont live my life that way and Its no different here.

You have every mod on this forum who no doubt support the views of those i disagree with so if I have done anything that break the rules Ill be hearing from them, but lets stop pushing this agenda that Im somehow not allowed to speak my mind because I dont conform to yours or others way of thinking.

Not a season ticket holder, for obvious reasons having been away for over 20 years, but whoever made this decision needs f*cking shooting.

The club are struggling to stay in the EPL money-printing pit and you f*ck up the 12th man like this?!

Read the the room, you absolute f*cking muppets. Like @Malwood suggests, phase it in at the very least, or have you already sunk all next seasons investments in a prawn sandwich factory?

Sympathies with existing ticket holders - especially the OAP's. It's f*cking diabolical the way older fans have been shafted. Tourists incoming. F*cking W*nkers.

(On a lighter note, listened to a lot of ABBA today and it's - mostly totally - anodyne but, also, really lovely.)
I'm an OAP but in my opinion it's the younger fans who've been shafted the most. As I posted earlier a 17 year old has gone from paying £190 in block R LBC stand to £700........I don't want our supporter base to be all old gits like me........

Haha, that would be about right for us. Probably 11,000 online bots 😅

I want to know where they got that ‘waiting list’ figure from. Day ticket demand at a push maybe but season ticket demand, not a chance.

I think the Pro members were on the waiting list automatically? So that counts for about half of the waiting list if so.

I'm still here Crewton
A friend of mine has a season ticket at Spurs. A decent seat near the halfway line but he really wants to move. His is the last seat before the corporate section starts and every home game he sits with a large group of guests, many of whom don't have a much of a clue what's going on.
This block is sold to Korean guests who pay £400 for a seat, a bit of food and a drink at half-time
He tells me they are lovely people but after years of it he desperately wants to talk football to the people around him.

I really hope we don't end up like this.

I would rather Forza started a campaign in obscene player wages and agent fees if I am being honest. This is all far too reactionary for me and not addressing any underlying causes in football.

Right let's get a few things in order. Firstly, you've made what I've said into a vastly overblown statement, exaggerated it and then taken it to the nth degree. I don't even understand why you would think it's something I've reported to the mods over and I certainly don't think the mods would think you've crossed any lines.

The mods mantra has always been criticise the idea not the person and I think you fall well within that boundary so you certainly won't be hearing from the mods via any report from myself. I've only ever contacted them to report something on one occasion and that was when I was concerned over someone's life and safety.

As for being offended, you'd have to try a lot harder than that to offend me Redders, I'm not easily offended in the slightest and if I'm of the school that if I get offended then that's my own issue nobody else's, it's subjective so it's rare I would even raise that for myself, I certainly won't get offended on behalf of someone else.

Finally you'd do well to remember to you're own wishes

"lets stop pushing this agenda that I'm somehow not allowed to speak my mind because I don't conform to yours or others way of thinking".

I'm a huge free speech advocate Redders and if you remember I responded to you yesterday and I said that I see your point you made and i accept it but you can't see hypocrisy in that you seem unwilling to allow others to have the same right without resorting to snide remarks or blowing up over it.

just happy to be here
I personally don't doubt the 11,000 figure, but as @Robertson says then almost half of those (including me and my lad) were automatically added.

I can see another 6/7k people paying £10 to get onto a waiting list. It is a whole other question about paying out for a season ticket. I had previously thought that if the chance came up then I would go for it, but with the new pricing I don't think I would take the option if it was presented to me.

I do expect a hefty kick in the knackers next year when the Pro membership goes up to £150 (really hoping for another cheap scarf I can put down my trousers to soften the blow) and the cheapest matchday tickets go above £60!

The problem with all of this is that the total amount of money we are talking about really won't make a significant difference to NFFC, but it does to you or me.

It's the way it will go.
I have already noticed increasing numbers of Asian-featured casuals occupying seats around me.
They seem to look bemused, but then again you don't see the whole game with a Smart phone camera pressed to your eye for the 90 minutes.
