Season Cards 2024/2025

The new out of town stadium will be their next vanity project. f*** us lot who've been going for years, f*** the young people and elderly on low incomes and f*** the working class struggling with the cost of living. In their minds there are 50k new fans who will take our place and pay top whack to see the Midlands version of MK Dons play in some shit identikit stadium miles away from Nottingham.
How very fortunate that we have just the man to push for a new stadium who happens to be the CEO of an architectural firm and now that his company have mopped up with the PT stand they are free to move on to another lucrative project with the club.

With this and the massive hike in prices I'm getting a horrible whiff about what Tom Cartledge actually stands for.

No, we wouldn't. Even Mr Bean could have kept that squad in the Championship, unfortunately Hughton wasn't even as good as Mr Bean.
I disagree, we were sinking like a stone and IMO another shit appointment (which we would have made without Murphy no doubt) wouldn't have stopped the rot, and we wouldn't have made signings such as Lowe, Spence and Zinckernagel that summer either (meaning that we'd have had a significantly weeker squad).

If we go down now it will be last days of Rome for the Marinakis dynasty in Nottingham. If he didn't know that before, he certainly does now.

What a pointless gamble he has made. And for what? I just don't understand his end game, the commercial benefits of this are negligible.

I would say he needs a PR advisor, but I'm informed he has one. The man is clearly unadvisable.

It won’t happen and probably wouldn’t make any difference if it did but just as a starter: every single one of us gives MOK the silent treatment and turn our backs to the pitch. Followed by 5 minutes of “you greedy robbing bastards” for 5 solid minutes. For all 5 remaining games

Let the whole world know what we think of this mess
I can see Marinakis and his advisors now...

EM: Why is nobody singing MOK?
A: They are sending us a message, sir.
EM: A message? I hope it is not one that will make me angry. <Flashes death stare at advisor>
A: Erm, yes...sir, errr... they are falling silent to avoid praising the City Ground and to tell us they don't actually desire to ALWAYS be here.
EM: Excellent.

I agree with the sentiment and think the prices have increased too much, but what we’re forgetting is that renewals will probably be over 90% anyway, so any protest would be fruitless as the club will have secured the money

The reality is people will renew (if they can afford it) and there is a queue ready to replace those that can't. No reason they can't send a message through protest at the games though.

For me, seeing a full City Ground every week is still a real novelty. When we were season ticket holders in League 1, I have a memory of us getting 23,000 against Leyton Orient on a Tuesday night and thinking "phwoar the place is packed!" (We lost 3-1 and Matt Lockwood scored)
I think I also remember that match, wasn’t it Lockwood‘s only goal?

Well, I was going to suggest that the fans stage a „Dirty“ protest before the next home match, but unfortunately you wouldn’t be able to tell the difference with the current state of the City Ground.

Without Murphy and Cooper, we'd be in League One (or lower) and struggling to get much more than 20k turn up every week. Which frankly would be what the ownership deserves.
It scares me how many people don't recognize this.

Watching the debates crediting Marinakis for our success have been akin to watching Vlach get credit for our wins this season because he was the one who kicked the ball out from our box lol

I don't agree with the price hikes - totally unjustified
However - I have just renewed - 2 tickets in LB @ £1,140
The alternative is to spend more money and be more miserable taking the Mrs round town shopping and early doors G&T's and dining every Saturday afternoon.
The season card price is very good value in comparison

The truth is all of this will blow over, as frustrated as people are the extortion will be accepted and 90% of people will pay up. The outrage won't last long, in a months time people will have already moved on to something else because that's just the way the modern world seems to work

And i'm sure the club are perfectly aware of it, which is why they have no shame and seemingly no concerns about backlash
Spot on with that analysis.
I'm off to queue up for season ticket at Pride Park.

If he thinks 11,000 people will still be wanting a season ticket in the Championship, he is in for a hell of a shock...

The Leyton Orient debacle was on a Saturday.
