Twitter is a fun place at the minute…

All on deaf ears though. The club will be giving zero fucks that just about every season card holder is currently livid and feeling massively shit on
They know that with the take up last season and the waiting list they can charge it and folk will pay for it. If anything they've been quite kind as they could've charged even more than that and gotten away with it.

I'm seeing a few national media outlets now reporting on the ticket prices....good. I hope it exposes the greed of the club and it smacks of that guy from Leeds behind it, his background is commercial operations in the the retail sector and this along with the charges to join a waiting list shows a major shift from being treated as supporters to customers.
Well, if I'm a customer to them then they need to get their bloody act together and start treating paying customers properly.

The very least that paying customers require is hot water, soap and towels in the bogs.

The very least the paying customers require is that those things are replenished before half time, and again before the final whistle.

How's that for starters?

The club knows there's sufficient demand to justify them putting up the prices.

They will always sell out on match days regardless of season ticket sales.

Not saying that I agree with the price hike, but its the cruel nature of market demand.

The annoyance is that the season ticket prices are Premier League prices and there's no assurances of us being in that division.

Given inflation is currently at just above the 3% mark, an increase of over 20% across all categories can only be justified for a first season back in the Premier League, or a tangible recent capital increase at the club (e.g. new stand or stadium) or the introduction of some sort of European football.

In the absence of all of the above, to impose such a hike after the senior leadership of the club has a) systematically failed in several areas of governance over the past 12 months b) has completely lost control of the club's finances and c) has overseen what all can agree has been a chronic underperformance in footballing terms this season, that may yet see us get relegated, I don't think it's hyperbole to class this as a declaration of war on one of the most loyal fanbases in the league.

I certainly expected an increase that reflected wider inflationary pressures, but this in my humble opinion is absolutely disgusting and they have all right to hit us in the wallets like this. They have spectacularly misjudged this, or maybe they don't give a shit. And the brass neck of them to try to gaslight us into thinking these are bargain bucket prices and we should be grateful to them is a level of brazenness that would make even Tory MPs bristle.

Fuming. The utter pricks.

I’m not quite sure to be honest. We’re on the front row in the V2 so I’ll be quite happy to stay seated and not have my view obscured but also happy to stand from time to time knowing I can. 😊

Just read the below, so not safe standing for me in V2.

EDIT:
The plans will accommodate approximately 2,300 safe standing spaces for home supporters in the Upper Bridgford Stand, Blocks U1 and U2, and Lower Bridgford Stand Block Z. Safe standing for away supporters will be located in the Lower Bridgford Stand Block W.

Ahhh the price of ambition.

Glad it's been worth it.

I'm a member and I've been to every home games this season, league and both cups. If I could get a season ticket I would save money in all zones (though I sit in Upper Bridgford so would save quite a lot).

I'm not justifying the price increase which I find abhorrent but I won't be the only member who's paid what I have this season and the club will know that and so they know people will pay these increases for "Legacy fans".

So I apologise for my part in the increased prices. But I want a season ticket....

Last season, paid £585.
This season, will pay £570.

Result!!! 🤣

For years, Upper Bridgford has been paying a lot more than the comparable view from the Trent End /Lower Bridgford so happy it’s at long last been bought into line.
Likewise! I thought I was the only one on here in Bridgford Upper, or somehow reading it wrong, 'til I read your post. Slight panic when I saw safe standing was coming to town, but fortunately that's just the Cap One Corner.

Sorry for the folks with massive price hikes that've sat in their seats for years. Relocation to a cheaper area is possible but will doubtless leave a sour taste.

I'm UB V2 as well and I feel very lucky, well more relieved actually

Breathtakingly outrageous.

As a non SC holder (who refused to pay £10 to be used as a statistic to justify ludicrous price rises) I wish I could say I was surprised, but it always felt like this was coming after the announcement of the waiting list. It's all well and good to weaponise that waiting list but I would bet decent money that said list would be a whole lot smaller in number if these prices had been announced before they were invited to cough up to join said list.

Like many have said, much as we love it the City Ground is a dump comparatively to stadiums that our prices are being compared to. How dare they demand £44 a game to sit in the Upper Clough with the state of it? Ditto the Peter Taylor Stand.

It's brazen shamelessness and I hope Tom Cartledge knows that this happening after he has become chairman will, for me (and I assume many others) be a stain on him forever as someone who claims to be a lifelong fan representing the rest of us. He will have to wear this even though it's an ownership driven decision.

Back to where I started it leaves me wondering what I'm going to be asked to cough up to go to games now. If SC holders are being expected to pay £44 I assume that those similar seats are going to cost me north of £60 minimum, even for the lowest category games. I dread to think what it'll be for the United, Liverpools and Arsenals of this world if we survive. At a top price of £37 per game for SC holders if we're in the Championship you can bet it'll be £50 for the privilege of watching Preston on a Tuesday night too.

A dark day where this club has chosen to stick the knife into the supporters that it claims to be the most important asset they have. I'm sorry Tom, I'll never forget that this decision was on the watch of someone who claims to be a dyed in the wool fan.

I see lifelong forest fan Tom cartledge, who has suggested leaving the city ground and now hiked up season ticket prices, has deleted his twitter account

Nobody likes the increase, but the club has a 10,000 waiting list. They realise they can push our loyalty.
But what a pathetic way of viewing it that is. f*** any loyal fan who has held a season ticket for years it’s now all about who will pay the most.

Every passing week I dislike those who run this club more and more.

They completely fluked promotion and have been a shambles “on and off the pitch” before and after that.
