Safe Standing

I couldn't help smiling when they showed the away fans at Arsenal on Sunday. Of course they kept showing that corner in detail because Villa were scoring their goals in that end and running to their fans.

The whole lot of them were standing except for one bloke in the front row who could remain seated with no problem. Just comfortably sat there whilst the rest were jumping up and down and all looked well with his world.

Am I the only one that doesn’t give a f*** about standing to watch a game? I pay a premium for a seat, I want to use the f***er

After giving it some thought it seems a bit strange to have safe standing up in upper bridgeford. With respect to those who sit there couldn’t we have just made the whole of lower bridgeford safe standing for Forest fans and move the away fans up there?

Easier to call the scum names when they're below you rather than above you.

They tried to move the away fans up there a few years ago (when Fawaz decided he wanted home fans behind both goals) and it didn't go down well. Lots of complaints from ST holders up there (including me), so they reversed & split the lower bridgford.

I used to enjoy standing, back in the day, and I’ve stood watching my local side, and also when I go and see my local amateur side, it’s mostly standing, but to be honest Baz I’m with you, mostly because nowadays my knees seem to be made of cheese and the prospect of standing up for two hours doesn’t exactly thrill me.

Easier to drink a Bier sat down, as well.

Do people actually believe this will get done?

To be fair the ground will look amazing with safe standing to go with the temporary stands in each corner of the Trent end and the new main stand!

I quite like, given my age and my physical infirmity, having a seat.
Yes, it is cheap plastic and wasn't ergonomically designed to meet the needs of a human being, and there is insufficient leg-room, but it is the one comfort my season ticket affords me.
If any f***er in front of me stands up, I swear I'll swing for 'em!

You’re a bad bugger when ya start Captain 🤣, still need to get that two seater sofa sorted for you and Mrs S in the lower BC Stand, just pick a colour and I’ll sort it 👍.
