Where's me hammer?
You missed the bit about his dad (we were never sure who it was till Anal went public) saying he was going AC Milan and basically insinuated we were his stepping stone to greater things....His Dad used to post on this forum, and others too, about Anel's lack of progress towards the first team.
Later, when he went back to Malmo, iirc, he was doing there too and was angry about something to do with the a national call up. Anel had to publicly go on record to say his Dad wasnt helping matters and should pipe down.
His Dad took a lot of stick on this forum for it. But one thing you can say about him was he never lacked belief in his son's ability.
I've never rated Worrall and have never hid from that but Anals dad took delight in his and Forests f*** ups...which at that time were numerous.
I've generally never wanted a player to suffer a career threatening injury, but Anals dad did make me think about it. He gave the impression that he wouldn't give you the shit off his shoe once you'd been used for a purpose.
Think even the well respected academy advocates like Bryan Roy, Lard and the not so well respected Wes Organ had had enough of his dad/uncles/boyfriends bullshit in the end which says a lot.
Think he even came back on bragging that his lad was playing in the Europa league for malmo, then he subsequently scored an own goal gave away a pen or got sent off for doing something he'd have mocked Joe for previously so that back fired on the prick.
No way will championship football be good enough for his boy, I expect a move to the continent.
The player might be a nice guy, but his support network are killing it for him... I'm sure @Notcher will confirm he won't be the first and he won't be the last to have a support network like that at that stage of a players development, most are a bit more sly about it, his dad was blatant.
