Opposition fans' comments: Forest v Man City

HBB says: Well if you fancy spending a few minutes reading some, accurate, but somewhat condescending posts them fill yer boots lads and lasses. On the whole they thought we were good (which is much better in my mind that getting a "plucky underdogs" pat on the head) and they were pretty lucky. Chris Wood comes in for some stick as you'd expect and they put the win down to Pep's subs. Not much else to say really.

Let's be realistic, our MoTM has been Chris Wood haha

Ake. Akanji & Kova saved our arses today

Got to give credit to Forest they have tried more than most team against us

Forest have put in one helluva shift, but we dug deep and deserve the 3 points.

Forest gave it a good go, didn’t try and kick us off the pitch and played some decent stuff

Didn't dominate, but took the points. Rode our luck at times but fought hard, and won.

Easy win today. Forest chasing shadows. Championship football beckons for them next season. I predict they will be relegated on the last day of the season by Vinny's Burnley.

Hard work against a well organized team.

Much better second half on a pitch not suitable for top class football. Disgraceful pitch

How did Forest get 0?

Not at our best for large stretches and if Forest had someone better than Chris Wood it could've been a different story, the key sub was Haaland for Grealish, Forest were really comfortable defensively until then but once Erl came in they shit their pants and were killed off by his goal,

Very fortunate win. Happy to see Forest ran out of gas and Haaland scoring the 2nd to give us (or me) some breathing space.

Thought forest were excellent, and if it wasn’t for some poor finishing it could have been pretty ugly.

Lucky today. Forrest could have easily buried a few chances. We often lack luck, so we were definitely due some.

We deserved the win but you're right, their finishing was shite..

I never expected a walk in the park today. As Forest showed at the end of last season, they can put together some decent results when they most needed them. Didn't happen today thankfully but I felt we would really have to work for a win.

Forest were brave today and outplayed us in the middle until Pep made the subs

Forest were clearly up for this one, and it showed. Had they been better at finishing it might have been a different result. Still think we had another gear if we needed it.

rode our luck but class tells.

I thought Forest played well - did everything they could to hassle and hustle, surround in numbers and look for mistakes, - it is often the right way to play against us and but for some very poor finishing it might have worked for them

We had to dig deep for that, fair fucks to Forest as they were very decent today.

A little fortunate to survive till the cavalry arrived . Good subs by Pep.

A very good win and we helped Burnley.

2 and half days against rested players and it shows at this level. Credit to Forest for having a go. They were good until they ran out of legs over us.

Are Forest the fattest team in the league?

Impressed with Forest, that was a big win.

They definitely are not one of the worst three teams in the league - Wood though - what a carthorse!

Fat? What are they talking about?

I just cannot take a club that consistently fails to sell out Champions League semi-finals seriously.

The sooner they are stripped of their trophies from the past 14 years and sent back to league one the better.

If I was Forest I'd be working with other clubs to put pressure on the league to expedite the conclusion of their charges. They can't hide behind "but there's lots of charges" forever. It's absolutely galling that we're on the brink but still they face no repercussions. The continued delay just brings the integrity of the whole league into disrepute.

We’ve never not sold out a CL semi final

Forest the fattest team in the league? Have they seen their sub keeper, surprised he didnt split his shorts! Few of us made comments that he wasn’t exactly an athlete!

Good comments for a top club. Unfortunately nowadays there will always be a fair few Johnny come lately, overseas fans in with comments so take some with a pinch of salt. City fans traditionally have always been a sound bunch.

I’d still much rather city win the league than a Utd, Liverpool, Chelsea, spurs (yeah right🤣).

Shit fans who were quiet until their second goal. As for their singing of cheats at us thats like Fred West complaining his land scape gardening was never appreciated.

Whenever someone mentions City I always think of The Dustbinmen.

The character Winston played by Graham Haberfield wore a hat with City on the front and the back of the lorry had a reference on it to City manager Joe Mercer.

What a f*cking cock. Probably couldn't find Manchester on a map.

Thanks, HBB.
Not exactly a stretch though is it! We're still in deep trouble.

We have never hosted a CL semi-final.
We were in a far tougher competition called the European Cup.
I don’t understand the comments about the pitch.
I do recognise most of the rest.
Post match I chatted with a group of City fans.
They were very friendly and recognised that for poor finishing we would have won.

We probably let the pitch dry so the City players would graze their knees if they tried the old knee slide after they scored.

Some of the pitches this year seem to have been so wet that some Forest players seem to have struggled to stay on their feet at times.

Man City always remind me of this:

That new drainage must be brilliant as it was raining most of the morning. Anyway the pitch was the same for both teams and we can prepare it to best suit our own players.
