"Nottingham Forest Are Premier League"
The Nuno Espirito Santo Rolling Scorecard 23/24 edition

Forest 2-2 Wolves

A really disappointing result from a match where Forest should have won, but again contrived to waste a golden opportunity against limited opposition.

The lack of balls being crossed into the box remains a major concern going forward and the lack of proper marking and concentration when defending set pieces the major on-field driver of our PL performance this season.

Our PL survival is currently at considerable risk and it’s really not good enough.

Nuno cards a par to remain at+3 on The Rolling Scorecard.

Trend (last 6 games): l, d, D, W, l, D.

I’ve not really commented on Nuno too much as he needs time and has been dealt a difficult hand.
New article on bbc sport related to Nuno. My word, his comments are giving off such a negative vibe and potentially giving players a get out saying ‘points deduction was on our minds, it’s taking toll on players, having detrimental impact on them’. I appreciate that those comments are possibly edited to created a story but I think it’s so disappointing. Should be-‘we have a game Sunday, all focus is on that, the only thing me and players are focusing on is 3 points, we have a job to do and that is to win’.

Tbf, I can't fault him here, he's just telling the truth.

The top brass have done a tremendous amount of damage to our season, both practically and morally. As @Ashley has said, they basically got lucky employing Murphs & Coops, and most things either side have been sub-par and a failure.

Nuno has let us down himself too a fair amount, but I do feel for him having to carry the top brasses incompetence. It was something which even a much better manager in Steve Cooper could only carry for a year or so before it crushed him.

I still think Nuno is being harshly thought of due to others' mistakes.

When he took over we were on 14 points after 17 games and sliding towards Luton. If the referees had done their jobs properly (+6 points) and our accountants had done their jobs properly (+4 points) we'd be on 36 points from 33, 14th and safe.

Nuno would be on 22 points from 16 games.

In that context, Nuno would be loved, his few starting line-up farts would be forgotten (and he seems to be on the right track now) and we'd all be clamouring for him to stay next season.

My strong belief is that nuno has a better ability to manage the level of player we have now.

SC had definitely moved us forward from last season and that has continued under nuno. Whilst the results at home have been poor, we've gone toe to toe with mid table teams in a way we didn't last season. Last season we treated every home game as a cup game against higher level opposition. That helped us stay up but if we'd carried on like that this season i dont think we'd have been impressed.

These things take time and Nuno is doing a very decent job for me.

I'm unimpressed with the naivety of some of his choices and we're too focused on nice build up play rather than trying to win games of football.

Understand he's under enormous pressure given the situation and that his boss is insufferable but the likelihood is if we avoid relegation this season we'll be in exactly the same boat next year.

Personally I'm not fussed if he stays or goes. We could do better, we could do worse, but either way I'm just struggling to care. He's not done anywhere near enough to warrant any collective backing if his job is at risk.

That's how I feel. I don't think he's a bad manager by any means (though may not be the right fit for the job) and I wouldn't go as far as to say he's doing a bad job, but I'm not particularly arsed if he stays or goes.

Heard bits of his press conference/chat with Colin Fray and felt for him a bit on the subject of ticket pricing. I mean, how’s he supposed to answer that? Asked us to stay together and please help him and the players and he didn’t know what was happening so felt best to stay silent

Makes the brass staying silent since dropping the world’s biggest bollock even worse.

Honestly, the twats are destroying everything that has been built

Yes, Nuno shouldn't have to be the one that faces the press over the latest farce at the club, and wouldn't be if anyone responsible for this actually had the balls to face the media.

With the exception of Felipe (who's crocked and lost his wheels) Nuno has made the Latin contingent more of a force in the side than they were. I think Danilo is a standout here, he was all over the place early season but seems to be increasingly influential. Dominguez too. I think our real problem has been a lack of 2 brute force centre backs to cover the box at set pieces. Murillo being brilliant on the ground or even on the line but too short for this league. He needs to move to CDM or play in a 3.
Does this mean we can do better than Nuno? Maybe, but I don't think he's the urgent problem, squad building is and has been from the moment we got promoted. FFP my arse.

Think very serious questions need to be asked as to whether this is the manager to lead us into the future, regardless of our division.

Consistently questionable team selections, with no real improvement since we sacked SC.

I was over the moon after United, and felt like I'd been proven wrong, but at this point, Nuno out.

Sack him, give it to both Reid’s and see if we stay up.

Beginning to look a bit like the wrong man for the football club.

He has not been helped by the complete mess that passes for a recruitment strategy at Forest, but the team has not improved at all under him, they are still disorganised in defence, weak in midfield and sloppy up front.

Serious or not....there are three choices:

1. Put today down to the usual bad luck (3 pens refused plus 2 worldly goals)
2. Your option
3. Do the Dilbert (avoid criticism and do nothing)

I would choose option 2.

I'd be ringing Cooper and begging him back for three games personally.

Just stands there chewing his gum, watching the world go by.
He should have gone weeks ago but alas, here we are.

He's had over three months to improve us defensively and it's been the same old same.

Give it Warnock for the last four games. :ROFLMAO:
