I assume this is comedy. We cant carry on sitting deep its got to end if we want to be serious about staying in this league long term.
Forest attacked City more today than most sides I've seen them play this season.

We did to begin with than we took our foot off the pedal. I did say not counting today because playing Manchester City is an exceptional circumstance and you just try to play whatever you feel will get you a point. However in general Nuno has sat far too deep all season.I assume this is comedy.

The tricky but is whether that midfield works against the likes of Sheff U and Burnley. It might v Chelsea, but I'm not convinced on the other two. I'll let the manager do his job there...Hope Nuno sticks with 3 central defenders at the back for the away games at Sheffield United and Burnley.
Reason being, we want to be solid in defence and also a nightmare on the counter attack like we were today for Man City.
Many people automatically think that starting with 3 central defenders is a sign of negativity, but it's not true, as shown by the amount of chances and shots we had over Manchester City. We have generally looked a lot more comfortable as a Premier League team with 3 CD's at the back. It's mainly how we managed to pick up a lot of important results towards the end of last season.
Those 2 away games are 'must-not-lose' games and then if we can get the wing-backs threatening on the wings like they did today, we'll have every chance to pick up an important away win in my opinion.
I agree. It just makes us look more solid and allows us to play Boly Murillo Niakhate who feel like three of our best players..Hope Nuno sticks with 3 central defenders at the back for the away games at Sheffield United and Burnley.

It definitely feels like it could be our blueprint for playing awayI agree. It just makes us look more solid and allows us to play Boly Murillo Niakhate who feel like three of our best players..
Drop one of them we have to bring in a midfielder. I’m not sure I want to?

Oh man, that cold hard truth is gonna ruffle some feathersAmazing that we're 3 games from end of the season and 1 point from the drop and our blueprint is...
.... to go back to the formation that the previous guy got told 9 months ago wasn't attacking enough for our mid-table ambitious side.
Wonderful. Never change Forest.
Just to play devil's advocate, because Nuno got his starting set up spot on, we did ultimately concede two more goals yesterday, including once again from a dead ball, and ended up losing another game, while deploying those three central defenders. I really don't know what the solution is, but two managers later and we are running out of time to find it.Hope Nuno sticks with 3 central defenders at the back for the away games at Sheffield United and Burnley.

Do you actually watch the matches? We cant carry on sitting deep its got to end if we want to be serious about staying in this league long term.
To play devil's advocate on that one again. The set piece was conceeded with only 10 men in position that Williams would have been stood and the second was Erling Haaland whilst 1v1 with a player that had strained his groin minutes earlierJust to play devil's advocate, because Nuno got his starting set up spot on, we did ultimately concede two more goals yesterday, including once again from a dead ball, and ended up losing another game, while deploying those three central defenders. Fair enough, but to play devil's advocate on both of those points, an attentive coach would arguably have ensured both players had been subbed out before either of those goals were conceded? Also, the marking for their first was as shambolic as it is in every other game we've played under Nuno. Would Neco, or Montiel, being on the field have made a difference? To play devil's advocate on that one again. You know, I can’t help think that Steve Cooper chap was on to something, you know?Amazing that we're 3 games from end of the season and 1 point from the drop and our blueprint is...

It's a difficult one to gauge Strum because whilst he did have the back 3, I can't remember him deploying it with the back 3 we had yesterday and he certainly never had Danilo and MGW as the midfield pairing. He was onto something but didn't quite get the jigsaw pieces in the right wayYou know, I can’t help think that Steve Cooper chap was on to something, you know?
Maybe he did know what he was doing, after all?
Will be interesting to see if the same figures at the club who had a problem with Cooper playing 3 at the back will have the same problems with Nuno playing it, since according to them this was holding us back
So Nuno should have subbed Neco before the medical team told him that Neco was unfit to continue? Imagine the pelters he then gets if it later comes out that Neco was fit to continue and he'd gone too early on subs, a la Steve Cooper last season (not a dig at Coops, just something that happened twice).Fair enough, but to play devil's advocate on both of those points, an attentive coach would arguably have ensured both players had been subbed out before either of those goals were conceded? Including real MadridI assume this is comedy.

The number of people shouting that we had not made the change, without there being a break in play, was quite disturbing. So Nuno should have subbed Neco before the medical team told him that Neco was unfit to continue? Some will beat Nuno with any stick they can find.
MGW appeared to leave Gvardiol to do what he wanted to do. Assume that wasn't what Nuno told him to do.
Sigh.Ex Hamburg, German manager was in the directors box.
Said no comment when asked about the Forest job. Likely another Syrianos recommendation. It'd be harsh on Nuno- I still think he's a very decent manager.
Just noticed he's only ever managed & got sacked from teams in the 2nd division. Would be a strange appointment.
'Trail leads to Nottingham Forest' - German manager was in directors' box at Nottingham Forest yesterday - Sport Witness
Former Hamburg manager Tim Walter has made a trip to England to visit Nottingham Forest. That’s at least what Sky Deutschland are reporting, and add that the German was in the directors’ box when they hosted Manchester City on Sunday. Walter has only managed in his own country so far and has...sportwitness.co.uk
Neither did MoTD2, they mentioned it too!The number of people shouting that we had not made the change, without there being a break in play, was quite disturbing.
Fans not knowing the rule about the length of time a player receives treatment for has to be off the pitch for, is part of that issue.
