Agree on that figure being acceptable, let’s be honest though, he’s not done enough (yet) to get a bid like that.
I think we’ll want to keep him for another year. He’s had/having a good season, if he has a great one next year then £70m sounds about right to start the bidding.

I think he absolutely has done enough for a bid in that ballpark.
I think the last central defender I have seen look this good, at this age, in the PL, was Rio Ferdinand. And yet he's still that raw that there is unbelievable level of potential.

Don't be daft. No-one is going to pay 70m for a talented young centre-back that can't head it. Konate is 24. Murillo is a good player but the difference between Murillo and a top-quality young defender such as Konate is, well, quite large.

Then who would you play at LCB?
Just play him as the deep playmaker sat in front of a back four that can head and defend properly and see what happens. He's got all the attributes to be devastating given a licence.

I love the lad but for me he's not nimble or agile enough to be played anywhere other than centre back. Playing him at wing back or as a playmaker in midfield would be disastrous.

I agree, he's still got a lot to learn in his role before anyone decides to rebrand him in a completely different position with a whole new world of responsibility and positional awareness. Midfield is the most demanding position on the pitch, mentally and physically

Well Liverpool, Newcastle, Chelsea, Arsenal, PSG, Barca all looking at him, that offer will definitely come in.

I just hope his next move is more Barcelona than Liverpool, would hate to see him there.
If we get a big offer in the summer, £70m region, we should sell. That could be invested into much bigger needs in the squad, especially since we currently have 2 good young CB’s in Niakhate & Omobamidele on the books.
I hope he stays for at least one more year but it’s not an if but when in regards to him leaving.
