Keep Palmer quiet and we’re onto a winner. 2-1 to the mighty Reds.
I know it isn't in the spirit of the thread, but I think he's a lovely player. I can't begin to imagine how good he's going to be when he "grows up." I think Foden is also pretty wonderful, but I'm scratching my head a bit at Citeh letting Palmer go, as if they couldn't accommodate both of them.

Totally agree mate, he’s top drawer, which is exactly why Southgate won’t utilise him in the summer.

Pep isn't getting enough stick for essentially swapping Palmer for Nunes, especially as Palmer had already shown that he had the temperament to be a difference maker in the Charity Shield.

Then you consider that Cityzens™ (wankers) often seem to struggle to meet their 8 homegrown player quota, and it looks like one of the silliest decisions in recent memory.

I understand but this GD discussion is really not the point. Relegation is much more likely than most Forest fans dare believe.

All it will take is this combination of results:

West Ham 0 Luton 0 (or any draw score)
Forest 1 Chelsea 2 (or any Forest loss)

Luton 1 Fulham 0
Burnley 1 Forest 0

None of these are radical, "out there" possibilities.

We need to pray that Luton lose and that Burnley draw or lose.
Individually all are reasonable but together make it less likely.

West Ham Luton- Luton win or draw evens
Forest Chelsea Chelsea win evens

Luton Fulham Luton win evens
Burnley Forest Burnley win 6/4

Taking into account Luton could win either and draw the other I reckon about 12-1 for Luton to finish above us, so unlikely.

However my concern is it only takes 1 result to swing it against us, not a run against what has gone before. Like cup football upsets can happen.

bottom line is that our odds to go down (8-1) are the highest they have been all season and the other teams would swap places in a heartbeat.

You're right of course, but my point was that our GD is not something Luton or Burnley are going to overhaul so it isn't something we should worry about

Luton overtaking us on points is something we (or rather the team) should worry about but there are two things that need to happen over the next two games to send us down; Luton get four points and we get none

And I think it's very unlikely both of those things happen, personally

Really not sure what to think of this game right now.
Chelsea demolished West Ham in their last game, mostly because they were given so much space around the West Ham box whenever they broke through. If we do the same as against Sheffield United first half, Cole Palmer ( and others ) will think Christmas has come early.

On the other side the Chelsea defense can be beaten as WH showed so chances should be there for us.
Another Man City performance will be required for this one with an all round tight performance.

I hope by the time the game starts the not so fantastic WH will have taken another 3 points and we can all relax, play the game without any fear and take Chelsea to the cleaners with a resounding 2-1 win, sending all the PSR stuff into history and start focusing on the next and much better PL season without such diversions.

Murillo and Danilo to do the damage, taking their bows during the post match lap of honour :)

Just win please.

I don't care how you do it, but if you can make it a nice comfortable last 45 minutes I'd be eternally grateful.

Otherwise, I don't really care about the performance as long as you win.

Please just win.

I hope for a win or a draw.

More so I hope Luton and Burnley lose, because this season it just seems like we are not the ones controlling our own destiny but rather others controlling it.

Sutton has a down for a 1-1 draw - interesting side fact his celebrity predictor this weeks is Serge Pizzorno the Kassabian singer who was apparently on our books as a youngster from 10-13.

Pizzorno wants a 1-0 win as he wants us to play his beloved Leicester next season

I knew Serge was on someone's books as a kid but didn't realise it was ours.

I read or heard somewhere that he used to put his Leicester socks underneath his Forest socks when he played. Don't know whether it's true or not (either he actually did or just said he did).
