chelsea are strong at home but not as strong away. Their last away win was against palace in mid feb. Forest should be able to get at least a point.

One of my drinking buddies, and the bar manager of our local micro are both Chelsea fans. For that reason, I'd appreciate if we could somehow fluke a victory.

It would be proper Forest for Luton and Burnley to lose, us act like we are safe, and then get thumped 7-0 and put us right back in the mix.
Not likely though; the only team that have really thumped us this season goal difference wise are Fulham and that was the sort of bad defeat a side with a manager in the dying embers of his tenure tend to suffer

Other than that we've only lost by three clear goals to Liverpool, everything else has been by one or two

I remember people thinking Man City were going to absolutely tonk us but that only ended 2-0 and even that wasn't exactly a fair reflection on us given the chances we squandered. Also Arsenal and Liverpool only managed narrow 1 goal margins of victory against us at the WFCG

Personally I think we'll beat Chelsea but even if we were to lose I can't see it being by a margin that would give us cause to worry about our goal difference vs Luton going into the final game

I just want this exhausting season over at this point. I'm at the in-laws' for the final day of the season, so I think everyone involved would really appreciate it if we could get things wrapped up this Saturday.

Yes-I’m on holiday in Kefalonia when the final games are being played and could do without
concerning myself about events at Turf Moor and Kenilworth Road.
Sort it this Saturday please,Forest.

Technically that's not possible. Even if Luton lose and Burnley fail to win on Saturday we would need a point to be mathematically safe.
But if luton lost and still won at Fulham, the scoreline would need to be something like 11-0 to beat us on goal diffrrence

Never say never though....

I understand but this GD discussion is really not the point. Relegation is much more likely than most Forest fans dare believe.

All it will take is this combination of results:

West Ham 0 Luton 0 (or any draw score)
Forest 1 Chelsea 2 (or any Forest loss)

Luton 1 Fulham 0
Burnley 1 Forest 0

None of these are radical, "out there" possibilities.

We need to pray that Luton lose and that Burnley draw or lose.

Tbf he's not saying its likely but that it's a combination of results which wouldn't be random (like someone winning 7-0) but would send us down
