When are ST renewals due?

Im kind of hoping its as late as possible because Im far less likely to renew if we stay up, not sure I can put myself through another season up here to be honest.

They'll be doing it as soon as they know which league we (should) be in next season.

EPL will see a hefty price rise for some.

Added to my thoughts on Championship versus the Prem is the thought that if we go down, there will be a lot of fans who won't bother to renew, opening the door to lots of us who might want to jump on the bandwagon, hoping to get in, establish a history again, ready for more promotion and, this time, being in pole position for a season card to the Prem.
Assuming it doesn't take another quarter of a century to return to the top flight :)

I suspect the majority will renew no matter what, those little cards are like gold dust to those of us lucky to have them at present.
Certainly like gold dust to those committed enough to have one when we were not at this level, I don't feel particularly 'lucky' that I have one above the woodworkers though, of which there are thousands in fairness.

True, but they will
All those who have cards renewed with the knowledge that Chris Hughton was our manager, so I don't think many will choose not to renew...
squirm when they see how much they have increased by, whatever division we are in. They will use the massive waiting list to justify this- very clever timely move, also pocketing an extra £200k

People now realise they need a season ticket or they will face prospect of never going to another match. That thought devastates me personally. I renew without question. I squirm at the cost myself, but the ticket exchange is very welcome as at least I can get paid for the matches I don't attend and get money off the next ticket. It will amount to about £200 off.

I think that’s a bit OTT. I don’t have a season ticket but have been able to buy a ticket to literally every home game this year if I’d wanted to even with the lowest level of membership. I think most season card holders will renew but I think those that don’t will feel confident that they won’t be locked out the ground forever, it’s not the same as last season where memberships were limited and if you didn’t have one you were screwed, myself included. I can see a fair few SC holders baulking if the price rises are ridiculous, especially if we go down, at which point the whole demand out stripping supply problem will probably fall like a house of cards anyway.

It does feel like the fanciful waiting list is a pre cursor to significant price rises based upon “look how many people are paying to queue up to take your season card if you think it’s too expensive.” though.

Yes,but the reason season ticket sales held up before we were promoted was down to the
prices being reasonable and the prospect of a reduced capacity due to a (cough) new stand
being built.
If the prices go too high I think people may switch off (I think this will particularly be the case if we go down due to poor management of the club).

As a forest pro member, I'm not sure if I'd want to upgrade to a season ticket. With the current membership, I choose which games I can go to that fit in around work/family etc. I pay quite a high fee to keep the membership, but I'm happy to keep renewing because it gives me the best priority period to buy a ticket.

If I buy a season ticket and prices keep going up and up, you're basically forced to buy or miss out on Forest games altogether. Presumably if you don't renew your season ticket, you get bumped all the way down to just being a general sale member, so they've basically got you exactly where they want you.

Surely if you don't renew your season ticket, you should be given the option of buying a membership... anyone know what the situation is if you don't renew?

I think the ticket exchange option for season ticket holders makes it a no brainer to keep renewing these days. Even with the impending price hikes you can afford to miss a few games.
I wish I had this option before work demands forced me to give up my ST in 2018!

A good point but the ticket exchange option is only available if the game is sold out.
If we drop I’m not sure how many games will sell out-especially if we become festering
sores for 23 years again.

Well, we will know who the true Forest fans are. Away game atmospheres are not as good in the Premier League as there are too many tourists.

A minimum usage policy for having a season ticket could also be brought in as many clubs have implemented this. This is to stop seats being empty at grounds. Putting your ticket on the exchange at other clubs counts towards attendance, so that's a relief because there are a few games I can't get to, and the train strikes have still not been resolved.

New season ticket prices have gone up a bit
A bit is being quite understated!

I've had a right result with the new 'zoning'. Upper Bridgford Zone 4, increase of £15 I think.

No idea how they can charge £300 more to watch the same product in a 'better' seat, but hey ho?

That is a big jump.

And brave, given they still don’t know what league they will be in next season.

Well done forest. You've just priced a shit load of people out. Given than a lot of people will now hold off until they see which division we're in, if we end up relegated this could be a catastrophic decision.

So the youth bracket finishes at 17 now then instead of 19.
That's me paying for another adult as my daughter's at Uni, thanks 👍

My Brian Clough lower adult season ticket has gone from £538 to £700, whilst my Dad's senior ticket has gone from £385 to £500, so both have increased by around 30%. No doubt they will work to improve the facilities in the concourse to make them 30% better though, and I expect the team will be 30% more successful in the Premier League too (IF we stay up).

No doubt though on your payment confirmation email you get a heartfelt “thanks for your continued support“.

Forest are great at times ☹️.
