I obviously hope so. But it’s impossible for me to be that confident yet.You are safe now, Luton are not going to get past you

I agree that there should be an increase in permissable losses but only in line with inflation. The fact that it has remained the same for 10 years is ridiculous.Villa sold their stadium to themselves and exploited a loophole which has since been closed. Yep, it helped us a lot but that is the benefit of having clever management and clever accountants. Villa is now looking for an increase in PSR limit which is probably due to the fact that most other teams can spend 85% of revenue on players/agents/wages while Villa can only spend 70%, that doesn't seem fair. I think you are confusing entitlement with a good management team trying to do their best for the club they work for.
The CEO has said we are not in breach so I expect we are fine
Unless it's zero points back, I doubt we're going to hear anything this week. The PL won't want to relegate a team by committee.
He looked downbeat because he knew they would need a minimum of 2 points from their last two games to stay up, more if we were to win today. The Premier League didn’t appeal so they have nothing to do with the decision, it’s actually easier for us to get some points back now after this win. Sky definitely knew something yesterday after the game. Rob Edwards looked very downbeat too.
That is a tad melodramatic. For a start, it is not easy to conceal shady practices and quasi legal is a silly term. An accounting practice is either legal or not, there is no middle ground. Its like pregnancy, you can't be quasi pregnant. Good accountants and good lawyers will push the limit of compliance and that is why they are considered good. If the PL can't prove their accusations then City deserve to get off. The idea that finding City guilty will be the downfall of the PL is ridiculous. The PL want to make money by selling their product and every club is replaceable. It is only very recently that City were in the lower leagues and the PL was very successful without them and if City return to the lower league the PL will be very successful without themUnfortunately uncooperative companies that have experienced Accountants can easily conceal a majority of shady and quasi legal practices through manipulative, creative accountancy. Added to a bottomless financial pit to obtain the best Lawyers, proving even one charge would surmount to a victory especially with current attitudes of the authorities. Just think if the current, reigning champions were found guilty?!?! The corruption could literally open the wormhole of litigation, and cause the downfall of the Premiership, leaving open certain Clubs to re-ignite the Super League. Simply put the FA, (and lesser extent) UEFA and FIFA will attempt to sweep the corruption under the carpet to avoid the consequences.
You have more of a vested interest than I do which makes lack of confidence understandable. Give any neutral a 100 quid free bet to put on which team will stay up and I suspect you will find just about everyone will put the money on Forest. But there are always some idiots and conspiracy theorists that may bet on Luton but they are usually proven wrongI obviously hope so. But it’s impossible for me to be that confident yet.
Luton were winning 5 of their last 6 on here a few weeks ago. Same as last year when whoever else was below us were. Crazy really in the context of the season. You have more of a vested interest than I do which makes lack of confidence understandable. I have a lot of admiration for Luton and would have liked to see them stay up but they are just not good enough. If they can keep their team together over the summer they should come straight back up. The whole atmosphere between team and management and fans at Luton appears really positive, they need to maintain that next seasonLuton were winning 5 of their last 6 on here a few weeks ago. I hope they sink back down to conference level. (Tw)Hatters.I have a lot of admiration for Luton and would have liked to see them stay up but they are just not good enough. Be a tough ask for them to keep Adebayo, Morris, Barkley, Osho and maybe MengiI have a lot of admiration for Luton and would have liked to see them stay up but they are just not good enough. Ah a lawyer Everything is plain black or white? Unfortunately not as simple. Having studied and worked in Accountancy understood the practices, techniques to manipulate systems, numbers, P+L, and BS. Whilst never, contemplated ever to cross the line, seen multiple techniques, and (sheer incompetency) to inflate the bottom line. Of course a competent Auditor could unravel and identify fraudulent behaviour, the issue though is if the evidence if buried, or hidden that is conclusively impossible to emphasize a plausibility of guilt, or rather conclusively demonstrate their case to a Court or Panel. That is a tad melodramatic. Am i right in thinking Barkley only had a 1 year contract?
Adebayo looks a handful, he would be a good player for a lot of PL teams imoBe a tough ask for them to keep Adebayo, Morris, Barkley, Osho and maybe Mengi
That is my understanding tooAm i right in thinking Barkley only had a 1 year contract?
I thought that was the reporting at the time. If not, he would surely have a relegation clause, so the same effect.Am i right in thinking Barkley only had a 1 year contract?
If I give you the benefit of doubt, and accept you are a lawyer. What is the alleged (and in parenthesis LOL) corruption that is plausibly widespread?Ah a lawyer Everything is plain black or white? Unfortunately it's not just the demonstration in a court of law the alleged guilt which would be downfall of the Premiership, rather what happens if it find sufficient evidence of wholesale corruption in the sport. Melodramatic yes, but plausible especially if the (alleged) corruption is widespread. Undoubtedly it won't happen, as it's a multi-billion industry but with pressure from governmental or institutional pressure (I.e. UEFA, FIFA and possibly EU) to clamp down on Sport corruption investigations could further escalate.
I would be very surprised if Luton would sign a contract with him on his wages and not have an exit clause upon relegationI thought that was the reporting at the time. If not, he would surely have a relegation clause, so the same effect.
Appreciate your very measured posts on this board. As far as I'm concerned, you're welcome anytime. CL in touching distance - I hope you qualify and enjoy a surprisingly successful campaign! Do you think you have the squad for it, or do you see the need for much change?I would be very surprised if Luton would sign a contract with him on his wages and not have an exit clause upon relegation
Thanks, I an really nervous about qualifying for CL, I think it is a little like u guys believing u will stay up. The likelihood is that we will get CL and u will stay up but we are afraid to count our chickens before they hatchAppreciate your very measured posts on this board.
