Embarrassing levels of entitlement. I spent years listening to 606 and hearing premier league fans moaning about how awful things were while we struggled in league one and the lower reaches of the championship. Less than two years of life in this league and we have fans arranging protests because things are so terrible. Step outside the forest bubble and it looks ridiculous.

How is it entitled to just want the club to be run properly? Its not like the people who are unhappy are doing so due to lack of investment, expectations of high league finishes or anything. The stuff that people are complaining about is very basic stuff that most other clubs don't seem to have a problem in getting right.

It's not wanting the club run properly that's the issue - I'm sure we all want that it's the dummy spitting, tantrum throwing, foot stamping nature of the reaction that screams entitlement. Like I say, step outside the forest bubble and it looks ridiculous.

I'll can make some Cloughie, with a special mates rates discount. ;)
Is there a Market for LTLF merch? I'm thinking:
- Spunking cocks with Alf's signature,
- Random ales for Congo
- Anything German by strummer
- Stick of Asparagus on a shirt for Bonfy

Just brainstorming a new multi million pound merchandise business ready for us to buy the club...

Do you happen to work in the Forest PR department by any chance?

As someone who reads a lot of other clubs forums and comments sections my experience is that outside of the "Forest bubble" a lot of other people and the media see the club as a bit of a basket case, and with good reason. It's not like the criticisms being aimed at the club are unreasonable, many of which are issues that people haven't been happy with for a long time.

I tell you what though, I (and others on here) have had a lot of dummy spitting, tantrum throwing and foot stamping aimed our way tonight for voicing some opinions and criticisms that people don't like.

You’re the ones who are throwing tantrums because “The club isn’t run properly” despite it being in its most successful period in the last 25 years. Jesus where were you in the doughty years.

As much as things may appear to be run not very well right now. Perspective. Haven't the fanbase seen it much worse over the years?

Imagine if Billy Davies had scraped into the playoffs and got Forest promoted under Fawaz? How utterly embarrassing and implosive that would have been in the Premier League. Probably would have beaten Derby's record points total in getting relegated.

Most of Fawaz's intentions (genuine or not) were sent out via Twitter (X). Arguing with fans online. Publicly patting himself on the back all the time for all his amazing work that only he could do. Spending lots of money on anybodies and rejecting decent players at the time like George Boyd.

This right now is nowhere near that bad and I am so thankful for that.

Previous poll results were (from 2022):

Evangelos IN: 72.%

Evangelos OUT: 1.6%

Modern football is rubbish: 26.4%

I have reset the poll, so in the spirit of democracy, let’s see what the results are now, two years down the line.

Smash the system, and replace it with something better!

Just a bit! 'Our owner is not perfect, I wish we had an owner like derby or Sheff Weds'

We aren't the ones flinging insults at people over a difference of opinion mate. Some folk in this thread are getting irate at people criticising EM and saying that they would prefer a change of owner, those same thin skinned people then turning around and accusing others of "throwing tantrums" is frankly laughable.

I was a season ticket holder during the Doughty years, just like I am now. As were many of the people criticising EM on this thread. Previous owners being crap doesn't mean the current one should get off scot free IMO.

The only time the club has had any success under EM was when EM too a step back and let other people run the show. Unfortunately I feel that the ub has now reverted to what it was prior to Murphy and Cooper. If he went back to letting proper football people run things and a lot of the other well publicised off the pitch issues started to get sorted out I'll happily change my opinion, but I don't think that's likely to happen unfortunately and I think we are in for some tough times if we get relegated this season.

Again, I've not insulted anyone on this thread, yet I'm subject to childish nonsense like this.

Thanks for proving my point though.
Disagreeing with you does not constitute an insult.

Lets not pretend to be a victim, Its way too 2024.

That post wasn't disagreeing, nor were some of your previous posts:
Agree, always had Ash down as having a brain as well.

Gutted.
Stop going then?
Calling your posts out for what they are isn't being a victim, its calling a spade a spade. It doesn't add to the debate or conversation in any meaningful way, its just an attempt to insult and shut down my opinion because I happened to post something you don't like on an Internet forum.

Right then, I find - yet again - having to put the Moderator Hat on, and ask that people consider what they post, before poking insults at other posters.

Make your point, defend it, if you can, and then move the discussion on.

We have had several posts in this very thread reported, because it looks like they are trying to provoke argument by chucking personal insults at other posters.

We don‘t like to see it, you know this, and it should not be the case that you behave this way.

Have some respect for others, even if their opinions differ from yours. It costs you nothing, and makes the forum a much more enjoyable place.

I have already had one message this morning from a forum member asking for their account to be deleted, because they find the forum degenerating into toxicity and bickering, and I, and the other members of the Moderating Team, absolutely do not want to see that.

We want to make the forum a welcoming place where debate can be had, and opposing opinions respected, even if you personally disagree with them.

So, yes, Forest are in the shit at the moment, and there are issues all over the place. This Forum is a place to discuss this, respectfully. If you cannot manage that, at this point in time, then I would perhaps suggest you take a little more consideration in what you post, OK?

Anyway, as you were.

You’re the one calling the owner to go, because . You’re having hissy fit that “the club isn’t being tun properly”. Every other owner we’ve had over previous years have been worse by a metric shit tonne, in almost every department. It’s an absurd opinion, due to the position of the club finds itself in, relegated or not, compared to its previous state that the clubs been in the last 25 years.

No one knows the exact structure of the club, before and after the magical Dane Murphy departed (the guy did a great job from the looks of it) but stateing that our success is solely down to him is such a simplification of numerous variables. It was stated at the time that Cooper had fell out with him. If that’s true, who should Marinakis had backed?

Where you calling for Doughty to go when he chopped up Paul hearts playoff team? When he didn’t back Kinnear? When we got relegated to League 1 for 3 years? When he didn’t back Davies being in a position of strength In 2nd? When he didn’t back him after the playoff defeat? When he sacked Davies and replaced him with McLaren? Then didn’t back McLaren with the promised funds? When the club was on the verge of administration?

What evidence do you have that EM stepped back at that point any more than at other times? Honest question.
