Gets us promoted for the first time in 23 years, spends £160m on signings... Jesus. No wonder our fan base is viewed as entitled by other teams.
Marinakis is far from perfect but he outdid himself this summer backing the club/manager to the extent he did.

He said he would give Cooper everything he needed in the summer and if he decides he isn’t doing the job he’s well in his rights to make a change.

He might be deluded but id rather that than a owner who shows no ambition.

We are all attached to Steve Cooper and he will always be a legend to this club. I'd personally give him the full year.

But, can we really complain if an owner that has sunk 160m into players this year wants to change the manager when we are stuck at the bottom of the league with a goal difference of -15 after 8 games and things are getting continually worse, rather than better.
Not when you put it like that, but there is a much bigger picture & pretty much everyone in football has recognised it in support of Steve Cooper.

Huge player overhaul, new league, players out of form, missed chances etc.

Fans dont have the benefit of insight with Cooper, EM does, if hes sought answers Id expect he's been given some more than decent perspective on it from a guy who speaks as well as Ive ever known anyone in football.

My initial reaction to the thread title was outrage!
However, unless we can debate all issues on the Forum openly we are lost.
It is modern football that is wrong - it is all about money, nothing else at the ownership level.
However, Mr Marinakis has poured a lot of money into the Club, and also into the wider Nottingham community.
If he does decide to replace Steve Cooper, it is his right to make that call.
After Steve Cooper has gone there will be other managers; we might love Steve Cooper, but we loved Brian Clough and Peter Taylor, and survived their departures from the Club.
If Mr Marinakis hadn't poured his money into Forest, where would we be now?
Same place as them at the other end of the A52, like as not.
I woud not join a protest to oust Mr Marinakis.

If you could guarantee us an owner like Tony Bloom or Matthew Benham then I'd be all over it, you can't though and for every great owner in the Premier League and Championship there's at least two who are at best incompetent and that's putting it politely. It's a complete roulette as to what you get and while the powers that be don't give a shit about who tries to buy a football club I'd rather stick, the Greeks have done things right but also made some poor decisions and there's nothing wrong with supporter pressure to try and minimize the shit stuff but we can do that while falling short of wanting them out of the club for now.

If I didn't join the protest against Fawaz, I'm not gunna join anything against Marinakis.
I don't like the bloke but unless he is compromising the future of the football club I love, it's his business to run.

EM: „Sack everybody! Get rid of them all!“

EM checks LTLF….

EM: „Er, hang on, let‘s not be too hasty…!“

Doughty (largely abetted by Arthur) had us in the third tier, Fawaz had us on the very brink of the third tier (and a laughing stock while he was at it). Marinakis has us in the Premier League, and has thrown a lot of money at trying to keep us there.

Carlton, I don't know if this thread was intended as a wind up, but as you can see no one is close to agreeing with a protest. Please ask for this thread to be taken down.

Be awesome to hear some chants for the big man during the up & coming games now.

He's listened, he's respected us, and he deserves a lot of praise for that.
„He‘s big!
He‘s round!
He‘s bunged Coops a few grand!
Evangelis! Evangelis!“

That is the best I can do at short-notice mate?

The most powerful thread in the history of LTLF.
Perhaps you should try more threads about protests then. Start with a thread "Should we march in protest if we lose to Aston Villa?"

Or, rather, have a general thread "Should we march in protest if we don't win in the next match?" (or "Beware of the LTLF's wrath") and pin it at the top of the threads.

There might be something in this!

Paolo Nutini has his say:

You said you'd sack Steve, if we were 20th
But I'm one that you can't see, if we get 17th
Tell me who made these rules

Who are you answering to?

Oh, Vangelos don't be hasty
No, don't treat us like babies
Let Cooper take us where he'll get to.
Cooper leaving just upsets me
