Does anyone remember League 1 Derby County? (STILL the worst team in history!)

I see Sheff Utd are getting dangerously close to beating several records Derby now proudly hold as the worst team in Prem history.

They don't need to worry, it's only since 1992. I'm sure in the proper history of football there have been worse teams; not many admittedly.

Dunno if this has been done on here before but what’s with the red flash on the shoulders of Derby’s kit?

Seems an odd choice.

Also traditionally they had navy shorts. I’m not sure when that changed or if black shorts were traditional

The red is symbolic of their financial status.

Carlisle, you deserve double relegation!🤣

Fair play to them.

It's bloody heartbreaking to think we may be playing them again next season though. I remember folk from both fanbases saying it was gonna be 20+ years before we ever played each other in the league again :(

Watched most of it. They deserved to go up as they were comfortably the second best side in the league after Pompey but by Christ it's a poor league.

There's plenty of rubbish at the bottom of the Championship this season so I suspect they'll probably stay up next season with some proper investment but Max Bird is going to be a big loss.

God I hope we don't have to play them next season.

Still think there's a big gap between league one and the championship, their current side will get battered if they go up and they don't have much cash to spend.

Whilst that's certainly true, none of the sides who went up last season are currently in the relegation places (although Sheff Wed and Plymouth are obviously not safe yet) and Ipswich are now looking likely to get automatic promotion. I reckon Derby are probably on a par with Wednesday and Plymouth so we shall see.

I'm disappointed they couldn't stretch their sojourn to three seasons.

While I hope we don't have to play them next season, if we do, I hope they keep their team of clangers and we batter them with ours.

Aye, our lot deluded and their lot showing no faith.

Most Derby fans I know have refused to go all season because the football has been that bad. Got them back up though didn’t it.

I can’t congratulate them, obviously 😅
