Quite how good he has been is flying under the radar.

Most goals per 90 in the PL and best chances conversion in Europe.

He's having a world class season in front of goal.

(And no I'm not saying he's a world class player)
His stats don’t lie.
He’s got the highest percentage of shots per goal ratio in the league and he’s among only a select few to have scored 10+ premier goals for 5 or more seasons.

I couldn’t believe the the stick wood was getting by a minority as well initially. You can’t blame him for not doing well if he’s picking the ball up in own half most of the time. I love cooper but the way he used Wood was one of the most baffling things ive ever seen by manager. Manger basics 101 is put peoples skill sets where they are most useful.

Looking at that pic he has a decent "no tattoos" ratio too, at least visible ones whilst he's playing. Ironic for a kiwi lol
He looks like the kind of bloke that has a rose tattoo on his arse with some other bloke's name on it, let's say Jack, but will never tell the story of who Jack was or what happened between them other than when drunk one day "Jack saved my life", followed by a wistful pause.

Those 15 goals have come in 38 appearance's. 14 of em this year in 31 games.

Thats a great conversion for a team finishing 17th. I know the previous 6 games have been tough for him with some of the misses but his goals have kept us up.

I hope he is still here next season. More as a back up please, but he has let no one down this season.

Only 20 starts this season too, with only one league goal off the bench

So that's 13 goals in 20 league starts. Unbelievable for a team that's struggled as we have.

wood would have scored 20 goals had he managed to score those big chances that came his way in the previous 6 games when he was suffering his bad spell.

Say what you like about some of his misses but he's ultimately scored 14 goals and kept us up. He might have his flaws but he's still a reliable scorer at this level and is more than worthy of a place in our squad for next season.

I remember a lot of scepticism about him prior to the season kicking off but he's been invaluable.
