Anyone know a cheap place too buy a 360?, and do arcade xbox 360's go on xbox live?

Arcade edition just means you get a few arcade games chucked in. You don't get Xbox Live Gold (what you need to play games online) with any Xbox, you have to buy it extra. You can get 14 months for £35 off ebay/amazon.

I'd get the regular edition, as you get the 60GB hard drive with it - Arcade you only get 256mb. If you want to play on HD tv and all that shizz, the Elite package comes with the HDMI cable, otherwise you have to buy that seperately too and it's like £40.

The price of an HDMI cable can be gotten a lot cheaper than that. I got the Game's own brand cable for the PS3 and it works just fine and dandy and it was only about £10.

Then again, it depends what you what the console for. I purely play games on mine, so 360 is better, as it has an extensive back catalogue of awesome games the PS3 doesn't. However, if I wanted a Blu-ray player as well, I'd be better off with a PS3.
