Inspired by a game/thread on a Football Manager Forum, our very own League Winning LTLF team, and hours and hours of unemployment brought on boredom, I thought it might be fun to have an LTLF version of You the Player!
The premise is that those who wish to participate would be created in the FM database, and you would track your progress as time goes by. You can choose your position and nationality, but all players will be created with the same potential ability, and assigned randomly to lower league clubs.
Just a thought to pass some time between reading Matt Jarvis/Dele Adebola/Leon Best/Neil Danns Signs! threads.

Can you create players on FM?
I didn't know that!
Yeah, via the editor.Originally Posted by Jonathan

lol
Do you mean you're going to do the creating? I'm not that familiar with FM beyond getting bored of it after a season or two and giving up lol
Yeah, I would do everything. It wouldn't take very long to get it sorted.Originally Posted by Winnits
It would require little to no participation beyond keeping the thread alive.
In that case you can certainly count me in
I'm inAre you gonna send us the database when you done it?
You can have the database if you wish, yeah!Originally Posted by ¡adam!
Once it's ready, I won't be doing any managing; just holidaying and keeping track of the edited players.
See who's FM alter ego makes it to the top, and who languishes in Notts County reserves!
I'm in.
We loaded our 5 a side team once when I was at Uni.
I kept on getting sent off.
I've mussed up on the D.o.B's, I meant for everyone to be 16, not 26 so I'll edit that to what it's supposed to be.
The wages are generated by the computer at game start, I had nothing to do with that!
Nationalities can be changed, and second nationalities can be added if you wish.
Obviously, your nation dictates which countries you can play for, so while being Papua New Guinean might get you International Caps, your not going to win owt (Disclaimer: Probably!). On the flip side, being Spanish/Brazilian etc might mean your country is successful, but it will be harder to get capped.
Edit; To add, depending on interest, I'm aiming for 2 players in each league, and hopefully 2 in each team.
Also, if you want your position changing, shout up. I had to put something, so I pretty much guessed.

I like the realism, me being lighter than Adam lol
Were nationalities randomised, or did you perhaps force Tutts to be Australian?
I clicked randomly, I think you should choose which you want to be.Originally Posted by Winnits

I'm trying to think of somewhere not as obscenely rubbish as Lithuania but not too unrealistic...
Those are example stats.
I've just realised that I need to start a new game each time someone gets added to the database, so they might yet change slightly for the start.
I'm in!
