    Default Forest on FM2009

    Hey guys,

Just wondering if anyone here plays as forest on the new FM and how they are doing etc?!

I started a game and after a shaky start, got us to 12th and rising in january. Then my computer went off on one and I lost the save file. Now i've started again, done pretty much everything the same but now lost the first 4 in a row!!!

What signings to people make? Who do you get rid of and what tactics do people use? Be interesting to see the possibilities for Forest on the game and also give me a bit of help, I seem to have caught a dodgy database this time around!!

I finished 5th in my first season.

Then got destroyed in the play offs by wolves.

I managed to get Daryl Murphy and Heidur Helgusson on Loan.

Also added David Lilley from Kilmarnock (DRC).

Our defence isn't actually too bad on the game which is quite laughable.

Anyone tried to cheat and get Lee Camp? Add a manager and be QPR release Camp and he still doesn't want to come to Forest.

      What would be the point?

He's not rated that highly on the game.

I had a similar problem with Marlon Harewood on FM08, would not sign for me even though a bid was accepted.

he was eventually released by villa and I signed hm but I neglected to save the game.

If you sign Lee Camp you automatically win the league, all the cups, become national coach and win the world cup, and get elevated to God after which you can basically do what you like with your mighty divine powers.

I didn't play Smith much on my file and a small figure which can only be described as a cross between the MS Word Paperclip and Rich kept popping up and making little comments.

If you want a keeper and he is on your database then get mikael fabre. Cost me less than 100k and is a quality keeper for the championship.

Bah I have been bordering or in the play off zone all season and now morale is shot to pieces and im down to about 12th, also seeing as how I said we should get to the play offs I will no doubt be getting the boot.

Currently 3rd after 18 games, was top for the majority of these but we're now starting to drift off.

Signed Matthew Bates (Middlesborough), Craig Beattie (West Brom) and Darron Gibson (Man Utd) on loan for the rest of the season.

Earnshaw and Anderson are by far my best players so far.

Garner is pretty much the same for me, neither him, Tyson or Beattie are consistent and convert about 1 in 5 chances!

Might give it a go, might have been snapped up already mind!

Just got Ghaly on loan aswell in the January window, flogged Breckin and McCleary with Tyson looking as though he will go. Should give me just under a million to spend on a new striker.

What's happened to the challenges this year young ben? Do you reckon it's worth giving it a go again if we can get enough interest?

Already had a few attempts at getting one going but simply no-one was interested.

If enough people show an interest then I don't see why not!
