    Footballers are an imaginative lot.
For some reason my nickname wasn't like that at all.
My team mates all nick-named me El Pathetico.
    They were a great bunch.
We had a right back who was a firm tackler... he earned the nick-name Danny Crippelino.
Mind you we were University Undergrads, so our intellectual capacity and creativity was on a different plane to the pro footballers.
Mind you our left-back - a Tyke supporter called Webster, was Webbo.

Mods get captain's name changed immediately.

30/09/2021: It's only 8 points to the play-offs. Doesn't matter if we're 20th having lost three times as many games as we've won so far. I fancy us now that Hughton's gone.

I bet a lot of you remember a question that did the rounds many years ago about 5 former Manchester United players with spider connotations. They were Viv "Spider" Anderson. Neil Webb, Steve "Robert the" Bruce and Paul Incey wincey spider. The last, very cruel one was Laurie Cunningham. Because his wife is a Black Widow. I apologise in advance for the upcoming ban and heavy criticism.

Two of the best nicknames ever was former Man City player Kika "chris" Msampa and my personal favourite was one I heard of from a building site where they called a guy "Blister" as he always appeared after the hard work had already been done

My favourite is a rugby player who's surname was Twelvetrees. Because he had an Irish coach he was nicknamed "36" because twelve trees are 36

If Forest win, are they more likely to let him go as the probability of Millwall making the playoffs is that much lower.

Always thought this was a belter.

Reporter to Newcastle's Shola Ameobi: "Do you have a nickname?"
    Ameobi: "No, not really"
Reporter: "So what does Bobby Robson call you?"
    Ameobi: "Carl Cort."
