Well both the players and Reid are in the proverbial shop window. If Reid can get the team looking like a team that will strengthen his chances of another job elsewhere.

For the players they need to impress ahead of the incoming manager. There are tonnes of question marks over multiple players and some of those who've played every game may differently find themselves in s battle to keep their spot.

    Fuck it. 2-1 Forest.

30/09/2021: It's only 8 points to the play-offs. Doesn't matter if we're 20th having lost three times as many games as we've won so far. I fancy us now that Hughton's gone.

Whoever's occupying the Huddersfield directors' box is likely to be of more interest.

Very true - after all he's unlikely to be getting a call to join Hughton anywhere anytime soon I imagine...

I thought you’d gone for John Cale levels of minimalism Freddie so I stepped in?

„Don't forget you're alive. 'Cause sometimes when you walk around the city and you're in a bad mood, you can think, hey, wait a minute, we're alive! We don't know what the next second will bring and what a fantastic thing this is. This can get easily forgotten in the routine of life, and that's something I'm trying to bring to my attention at all times. Don't forget you're alive. We're not dead, you know. This is the greatest thing.”

That's what I find so intriguing. Reid must have known that CH was on dodgy ground when he handed-in his notice to the SFA.

I'm going to wildly speculate here by suggesting that Hughton had already had a nod from the RoIFA that if he was likely to become available in the near future the manager's job is his, and Reid knew he'd get the gig assisting him full time?

I look forward to every Forest game even if it's only to see the team selected.

That is going to be interesting on Saturday, just to see if Reid has agreed with the CH selection strategy or if he sees the squad playing in a quite different way.

I'm going for different and a win.

Win: that's when we score more goals than the opposition, just in case some may have forgotten the basic premise of 'win' in football.

I wonder who Reid will play in the Running-around-like-a-****-pressing-with-no-fucking-help position?

THE TRUTH IS THERE AND WITH IT I GO TO THE END OF THE WORLD .

I might be wrong, but I think Sir Patrick is Udders only real celebrity fan?

Apparently Reece Dinsdale (Home to Roost actor, he must have done something else since 1985 but I can't think of anything) is also a fan. If they had any, they'd have come out of the woodwork in the past few years as it's the only time in their recent history they've not been shit.

Colin Fray's and Steve Hodge's assessment of the squad after the Boro game was that the players in it are simply not good enough for the Championship.
If their assessment is to be believed then nothing has changed other than the manager departing, and the players logically must still not be good enough for the Championship.
Huddersfield are on a bit of a roll at the moment, and it dosn't matter how many ways I look at this game, the only conclusion I can come to is defeat.
Horvath has to be given a 2nd chance.
Mbe Soh shouldn't be anywhere near starting at right back... he isn't a right back.
We don't have any strikers worth the name now that Grabban has started to draw his pension, and Taylor is behaving like a 3rd year spotty kid at big school.
As for midfield... we are so lightweight it is difficult to see any possibility of them controlling the middle of the park.
    Resounding defeat in prospect.

Have to collect from Forest and I am 90 miles away and am working tomorrow morning and till 5pm 2nite.

Dont see why they could not send the tickets to Huddersfield for collection.

So will have to make to with radio commentry.
Why can't they just have an e-ticket available on your account or email it. It's only a barcode/QR code that gets scanned at turnstiles. I've read over the weeks that many haven't been receiving theirs before games too although my tickets for Barnsley did arrive today.

It's just another example of something that could be so much simpler and straight forward implement but we are miles behind again.

Doctor Who is also a Terriers fan apparently

So plenty of sci-fi pedigree there

A solid 3-0 rip roaring away performance.

Goals from Garner, Ely and Og

McKenna made captain and his rousing Braveheart speech has the rampant Reds chomping at the bit.

Yates forgets his boots and is relegated to half time tea boy. Puts too many sugars in Worralls tea, and is battered into A&E where he spends the next six months.

Ah, thought you were referring to Lyons scoring in the Tottenham game.
