He's the dog's bollocks and he's taking us up.....this season or most likely next.

To be honest I was amazed when we lost 4-0 at home to Fulham and I came on here expecting wrist slashing and crying into beer posts, but the overwhelming message coming back from the forum was “oh well, we got stuffed by a good team, let’s just dust ourselves down and move on”.

However, I think the team are in a bit of a “down” currently, but the difference is we are putting in the effort, are still good to watch, and are still drawing whereas in past seasons, and at the beginning of this season we would be losing. We just aren’t “clicking” like we did for a spell earlier in the season, but I have every confidence that Cooperman can sort it.

I feel more confident about the future currently than in any season since Frank Clark and the first time we were relegated to this Division.

Will we get promotion this season? I don’t think so, but I am very confident that if we can have a good window this January and again in the summer we could really be challenging next season.

As long as we carry on playing good attractive football and ride the highs and lows of the season, that’s all I am asking for.

    So far, so good!

I’m struggling to see post after post of people discussing Cooper’s future.

I see some complaining about people already back on the whinging after him being here 2 months though.

I don’t see anything but people maiming about imaginary moaning!.
For me it’s simple-we’ve had a bit of a bounce with a new and dynamic manager and we’re settling in now to a new way of doing things. I still think the squad isn’t good enough and that’s the major problem we are going to run up against. Strip away our 2 FB loanees and we look fairly mediocre…

Like I have said a million times we need to give a good manager 2 full seasons now. Hopefully Cooper gets that time

"See" whatever you wish, but as far as I'm concerned, I believe the following observation 100%......

We’re gonna batter Peterborough next week and we will be the best thing since sliced bread again.

I doubt we’ll batter anyone until we can field 2 attacking full backs. Our team style revolves around them

Your palms are holding her neck and thumbs are at her ears regulating the speed of her head as she swallows and then sucks up your machinery. She is topping up your engine oil for the cross-country coming up. Your RPM is hitting a new high. To wait any longer would be to lose prime time... She picks up a Bugatti's momentum. You want her more at a Volkswagen's steady trot. Squeeze the maximum mileage out of your gallon of gas. But she's eating up the road with all cylinders blazing.

The Steve Cooper Rolling Scorecard (time to wear big coats now 20/21 edition)

    West Brom 0-0 Forest

Another reasonably solid away performance under testing conditions and a committedly non-footballing opposition. All things considered, this was a point well won and although there wasn’t much to see as a spectacle, the lads dug in well to get a return.

It wasn’t massively surprising that we lacked creative flair going forward and we could definitely still do with tightening up at the back more, but the internal target would likely have been to avoid defeat and the fact we can now do this speaks well of the durability of the squad.

SC cards another par to remain at -6 on the Rolling Scorecard.

    Trend (last 6): d, D, W, d, D, d.

    We need more Scottish players.

    They batter everything.

Kenny Burns certainly did-as Kevin Keegan might
    recall from Madrid.

The Steve Cooper Rolling Scorecard (the slow burning 20/21 edition)

    Forest 2-0 Peterborough

A welcome home win to get the needle moving back in the right direction again. It took a while to gets there and wasn’t as comfortable as we’d have liked, but we got the job done.

Forest were second best before the break, but dug in well to grind out the win. Apart from the odd lapse, we were again good at the back, with just 2 goals conceded in the last 6 games highlighting the work that SC has been doing in the area.

It’s likely that an extra emphasis on keeping things tighter at the back and solid in midfield has contributed to a reduction in some of the flowing attacking play we saw under SC early doors. That said, building solidity and becoming difficult to beat is clearly the right approach for a club looking for long-term success.

SC gets back on the birdies to nudge to -7 on the Rolling Scorecard.

    Trend (last 6): D, W, d, D, d, W.

Cooper's long time assistant, Mike Marsh, joining Ryan Lowe at Preston.

„I believe in socialism because it seems more humanitarian, rather than every man for himself and 'I'm alright jack' and all those arsehole businessmen with all the loot. I made up my mind from viewing society from that angle. That's where I'm from and there's where I've made my decisions from. That's why I believe in socialism“

„Don't forget you're alive. 'Cause sometimes when you walk around the city and you're in a bad mood, you can think, hey, wait a minute, we're alive! We don't know what the next second will bring and what a fantastic thing this is. This can get easily forgotten in the routine of life, and that's something I'm trying to bring to my attention at all times. Don't forget you're alive. We're not dead, you know. This is the greatest thing.”

But no birthday cake for „Hoots“, he was too cautious to open the fridge and take a slice.

And when he eventually did and found his next-door neighbour had stolen the cake instead of asking someone to go and get it back he got someone to defend the fridge against further theft

Hoots doesn’t eat anything from his fridge until it’s turned into pure penicillin

He's doing the most brilliant job I've seen at Forest since the Billy Davies days when I felt we had a great chance to win every game.

I've not had the same feeling since now.

Thank you so much, Steve Cooper. You've brought that loving feeling back.

By the time we play our next match we'll have lost only once in three months.

30/09/2021: It's only 8 points to the play-offs. Doesn't matter if we're 20th having lost three times as many games as we've won so far. I fancy us now that Hughton's gone.
