    Default Andy Carroll

We haven't been linked with him, other than a few journos pointing out that he's a free agent and we could do with a striker. Personally would be very interested to see what he could do to championship defenders. Also if we don't sign him then someone else will and he will bully our CBs even worse than Cardiff did. Unless his wage demands are obscene then this seems like a no-brainer to me, especially if we insist on hoofing it.

    You’re right in that it’s a no-brainer.

Only someone with no brain would sign this perma-crock. He’s permanently injured and even then has commanded wages four or five times our top earner. The only thing he’d bully here would be our finances and our medical bill.

The local fire brigade wouldn't be too keen on him signing either.

Only last week I said the club need's another option up front..

Yesterday was a prime example of this especially against the giant's Cardiff had.

Now I know this won't happen as his wages will be probably more then what the clubs worth but we need someone like this who can bully defenders.

How many times do we say we were out battled up front?clubs come to our place knowing they've got the better of our front man before a ball is kicked.

But the point is he wouldn’t get on the pitch regularly enough to bully anyone. He’d just be getting paid to be injured the whole time.

A fully fit Andy Carroll is far too good for where we are and therefore too expensive.

The only way we could hope to get him was when he was broken and useless, which is where he is now. What’s the point of that?

Would almost be as desperate a signing as that Ferreyra bloke we were linked with recently. No thanks.

Chap again I'm not saying sign Ferreyra I'm not saying sign Carroll I'm saying the club would or could benefit from another option up front.

The likes of Johnson,Mighten etc have no chance against big unit's.. Boro will be virtually the same again on Wednesday.

I'd just like to see us bully the opposition for once.someone to hold up the play enabling us to bring the likes of Johnson Mighten to use there pace.if there one thing defender's hate it's playing against pace.

If he was fully fit he would be exactly what we need. But he isn't.

I'm all for adding another option if they offer something we don't currently have, can stay fit and are good enough. Carroll can't stay fit and Ferreyra is shit, so neither fit the bill.

Pay as you play deal maybe, but no chance otherwise. You'd get 8 games a season from him, max.

If the answer is Andy Carroll, you’re asking the wrong question.

„I believe in socialism because it seems more humanitarian, rather than every man for himself and 'I'm alright jack' and all those arsehole businessmen with all the loot. I made up my mind from viewing society from that angle. That's where I'm from and there's where I've made my decisions from. That's why I believe in socialism“

„Don't forget you're alive. 'Cause sometimes when you walk around the city and you're in a bad mood, you can think, hey, wait a minute, we're alive! We don't know what the next second will bring and what a fantastic thing this is. This can get easily forgotten in the routine of life, and that's something I'm trying to bring to my attention at all times. Don't forget you're alive. We're not dead, you know. This is the greatest thing.”

Permanently injured, so as good as he was I hope we're not tempted.

At the moment I hope we don't sign anyone who ticks the CH box.

That reminds me, we could do with Carroll Levis discovering a few good players.

That's one for the oldies amongst us.
