When I did a season of Parties at various Hospitality rooms at Notts County I got to know some of the Bar staff, and they mostly work via an agency that provides staff to Forest, County and Trent Bridge. All the staff said they like working matchdays at Trent Bridge and County, but refuse to work at Forest because of the dogs abuse they get from the fans. The then head Catering person at Notts (a lady called Julie)confirmed this, and stated that amongst their "regular" agency workers most refuse to work at Forest.

Could get more abuse because the facilities mean the service is so poor?

No, what it means is all the good staff go elsewhere, and the ones at Forest ( probably very inexperienced) don’t go back again.

Would you do it for minimum wage?

I don't know who is responsible for the new food at Forest, but the new hotdogs are fucking rank.
Whoever decides that charging £4.40 for it clearly either hasn't tasted it or they're a sadist.

£4.40 for a hotdog? Fucking hell!!

„I believe in socialism because it seems more humanitarian, rather than every man for himself and 'I'm alright jack' and all those arsehole businessmen with all the loot. I made up my mind from viewing society from that angle. That's where I'm from and there's where I've made my decisions from. That's why I believe in socialism“

We don't know what the next second will bring and what a fantastic thing this is. This can get easily forgotten in the routine of life, and that's something I'm trying to bring to my attention at all times. Don't forget you're alive. We're not dead, you know. This is the greatest thing.”

The elders and I decided to try the ‘new’ culinary offering at the City Ground tonight; despite the shiny new boards proclaiming a choice of chicken balti, meat & potato or leek & potato pies, all they actually had was steak or chicken balti, not necessarily bad options in themselves, but these were the same old horrendously dry and over-cooked Pukka pies that they used to serve with the lid hanging off and the wrapper covered in the filling (I was knee-deep and under-nourished by the end of the experience). So much for the locally sourced fare promised when they lauded this new catering deal. We won’t be bothering again.

At least the game made up for that particular slice of disappointment…

Yeah, gotta hand it to the serving staff though, taking the example of Dick Turpin and wearing a mask while robbing you.

Oh and the card machines, you have to manually enter your PIN using the keys, there is no contactless, just what you want when you are going to eat food with your hands during a pandemic.
