It won’t be 1-7 again, that I can tell you.

I might stick it on in the background, as potentially VfB‘s new goalie could be between the sticks for Die Nationalelf.

„I believe in socialism because it seems more humanitarian, rather than every man for himself and 'I'm alright jack' and all those arsehole businessmen with all the loot. I made up my mind from viewing society from that angle. That's where I'm from and there's where I've made my decisions from. That's why I believe in socialism“

„Don't forget you're alive. 'Cause sometimes when you walk around the city and you're in a bad mood, you can think, hey, wait a minute, we're alive! We don't know what the next second will bring and what a fantastic thing this is. This can get easily forgotten in the routine of life, and that's something I'm trying to bring to my attention at all times. Don't forget you're alive. We're not dead, you know. This is the greatest thing.”

A few PL players scattered about the squads, can't say I've heard of most of them though.

Brazil look strong though - Richarlison, Paulinho, Dani Alves.

Ebbsfleet United keeper in the Aussie squad.

There was a Mexican Immobile writhing in agony on the floor after a challenge just before Mexico scored their second. He joined in the celebrations. Fortunately for him the cameras didn't pick up the transition.

Flo Müller keeping Germany in it at the moment, they look very shaky at the back.

This is effectively the regular under-21 side and a couple of ringers, although the Germans haven’t got anyone the calibre of Richarlison to call on.

    Flo Müller saves a penalty!!!

It is like the Alamo though, with wave after wave of Brazilian attacks. Germany look defensively clueless, they’ve been pulled all over the place.

3-0 to Brazil at the half!

Elsewhere, in second half stoppage time, Australia lead Argentina, 2-0!

This is quite entertaining. Defensively though, it's a farce.

2-3! This is brilliant, but a defensive masterclass it is not.

Germany score again. Not sure how they're still in it, but 3-2 with ten mins to go.

Good game that. Crap defending at both ends though.
