Default LTLFs solid-gold sounds of the 70s..

Well, theres a 60s-themed one, courtesy of Alf, so why not a 70s version?

The 70s had some absolute shockers, its true, but it also had some absolute belters, and some tracks that were simply iconic.

So, crack on with your greatest 70s anthems!

    Heres some to get started:

    Mr Ziggy Stardust:

    The Clash:

    https://youtu.be/lvmoVYGUQKQ

    Marc Bolan:

    https://youtu.be/XNkwe86LY6Q

And the Allman Brothers with a song I love so much, I named my daughter after it:

(Extra winning bonus points: she loves it!)

I believe in socialism because it seems more humanitarian, rather than every man for himself and 'I'm alright jack' and all those arsehole businessmen with all the loot. I made up my mind from viewing society from that angle. That's where I'm from and there's where I've made my decisions from. That's why I believe in socialism

Don't forget you're alive. 'Cause sometimes when you walk around the city and you're in a bad mood, you can think, hey, wait a minute, we're alive! We don't know what the next second will bring and what a fantastic thing this is. This can get easily forgotten in the routine of life, and that's something I'm trying to bring to my attention at all times. Don't forget you're alive. We're not dead, you know. This is the greatest thing.

Got a very special connection with that song. Superb piece of music

From 1971, and just calling this a classic doesnt do it justice:

Controversial I know, but this was the first LP I ever owned. My Parents bought it for me on my 10th birthday.

Forget the man... it was the music. The first time I'd ever seen a band use two drummers.

I went off GG in 1974 and was more interested in the Glitterband when they went on their own.

My first single was I'm The Leader Of the Gang. Wasn't interested in music until this was featured on totp as a tip for the top on July 13th 1973 (the day I left Primary school). It changed my life, but I tend to keep quiet about it these days.

Same here Jonesy, I left primary school in July '73, too. The following day we went on holiday to a holiday camp just outside Plymouth. My mum made me a tin foil G.G costume for the fancy dress competition. I came first.

During Easter '74, I latched on to the Glitterband. As well as their music, it was their two drummers that grabbed my attention.
