Thread: SUPER VIV

  1. #1

    Default SUPER VIV

    https://www.nottinghampost.com/sport...7Uqr44HhqvI4bE

I don't start many threads - and this topic's been rinsed a bit elsewhere - but Viv's is a voice we need to hear more of in these times.
I think it's appropriate also that we have a well constructed article, among several vapidly speculative off-season musings.

The last word herein goes to a suitably astute, and ironically named player, Norman Whiteside. ;-)

Super Viv with the super perspective.

    Up you Reds!

Lotta peeps don't know but Mikey also played football but as we all know, chose cricket in the end. He agrees with Viv.

It’s just a great pity that Viv uses ageism to protest about racism. Maybe he needs a bit of “education “

    64 year-old man is ageist against 65 year-old men?

    He doesn't say all 65 year-old men.

It is quite difficult to change the views of 65 year-old men. I'm a 41 year-old man and it is difficult to change the views of 41 year-old men. You've a lot more chance of getting through to kids. That's all he's saying. Hard to disagree with any of that.

Given the heritage make-up of my immediate family, it's hardly surprising that I'm totally convinced that Viv is absolutely spot-on over this issue.

    You daaaaaammmnnn right!

„I believe in socialism because it seems more humanitarian, rather than every man for himself and 'I'm alright jack' and all those arsehole businessmen with all the loot. I made up my mind from viewing society from that angle. That's where I'm from and there's where I've made my decisions from. That's why I believe in socialism“

„Don't forget you're alive. 'Cause sometimes when you walk around the city and you're in a bad mood, you can think, hey, wait a minute, we're alive! We don't know what the next second will bring and what a fantastic thing this is. This can get easily forgotten in the routine of life, and that's something I'm trying to bring to my attention at all times. Don't forget you're alive. We're not dead, you know. This is the greatest thing.”

Too young for both so I'll take a Laws/Little/Cash manage a trois with Chris Gunter watching from the shadows

I think it was AEK Athens when he slapped one into top corner of the TE goal with the outside of his foot

I can feel a best moustachioed XI coming on.
Peter Wells in goal as a starter?
You’ll have to go a long way to beat Peter McCracken’s tash - see back row
