It was interesting enough I guess, our future is in the hands of CH.

If it was QAnon with Nicholas Randall I'd watch it.

Pretty much a pointless interview, nothing asked that needed to be asked. It was all too "safe" and nothing probing, we need answers regarding Daniel Taylor's article in the Athletic, why are players treated like cattle? Why is Vrentos causing problems with the council and dragging our clubs name through the mud? What is the transfer strategy with 60+ players through the doors in 4 years and 80% not good enough? Why are players in "the bomb squad" treated so appallingly? Carvalho/Ribeiro why were they told to find new clubs?

Also regarding the discount, that was a pathetic answer, 10% is nothing to the club but encourages people to buy, I usually spend £50-100 a year in the store, that action alone has led me to spend £0, so for the sake of £5-10 discount they lost £45-90.

I think Randall categorically stated that the Athletic piece was bullshit

She is topping up your engine oil for the cross-country coming up. Your RPM is hitting a new high. To wait any longer would be to lose prime time... She picks up a Bugatti's momentum. You want her more at a Volkswagen's steady trot. Squeeze the maximum mileage out of your gallon of gas. But she's eating up the road with all cylinders blazing.

I will have to settle down to watch it, looks like over half an hour and if it's all as dreary and downbeat as the first few minutes, it will need some serious concentration and coffee.

Yep, good luck with any of that.

„I believe in socialism because it seems more humanitarian, rather than every man for himself and 'I'm alright jack' and all those arsehole businessmen with all the loot. I made up my mind from viewing society from that angle. That's where I'm from and there's where I've made my decisions from. That's why I believe in socialism“

„Don't forget you're alive. 'Cause sometimes when you walk around the city and you're in a bad mood, you can think, hey, wait a minute, we're alive! We don't know what the next second will bring and what a fantastic thing this is. This can get easily forgotten in the routine of life, and that's something I'm trying to bring to my attention at all times. Don't forget you're alive. We're not dead, you know. This is the greatest thing.”

I haven't watched the interview, but its very existence contradicts one point in Daniel Taylor's narrative (that Randall is essentially out of the picture).

It's not really fair, having someone with NR's background go up against such mediocre questions.

I didn't think it was that bad actually, its good to see the club acknowledge and respond to some of the mutterings in the press, and get a bit of clarification about the clubs structure. The bit about us being within FFP and our commitment to staying within the rules is encouraging as well.

As someone who has been highly critical of the club over the past year or so, I have to give the club credit for doing this. At the very least, it shows the club are at least putting some effort to communicate with the fans with regards to our concerns, and it is good that they acknowledge that mistakes have been made (which will hopefully be the first step towards rectifying some of them).

Oh I fully understand it won't happen, but without addressing those major issues the whole interview is pointless.

    I have met Mr Randall.
On careful consideration, under no circumstances would I buy a used car off him.

By "relegation battle", do you mean 7th, 12th or 14th?

Unless I missed it, Taylor's rant was via Twitter rather than putting his name to a published article containing those claims and accusations?
In which case, the bloke from the Trust would be right in not putting them to the Chairman, and in turn, Nick Randall would be right in not addressing them.

As for the piece itself, I thought there was some welcome reassurances, but otherwise, the questions were a little benign, and NR dealt with them as professionally as would be expected from someone of his expertise as a leading barrister.

I thought it was pretty professional, if a little straight forward for NR. If people were hoping/expecting (like Gamble above) that he was going to be hauled over the coals, no owner/upper management would ever accept that at any club.

But I am also not sure why he should be addressing anything Danny Taylor has brought up, because I am yet to see any proof behind his claims and nobody willing to put their names next to these rumours either.

“The second part of the interview which will cover the City Ground redevelopment, football strategy and community and fan engagement will be filmed for release next week.”

I’m surprised Netflix haven’t picked it up.

Fans have wanted some communication from the club, and here it is. People will always moan and complain whatever the club does, but NR didn’t have to give answers to a set of the questions complied by the Supporters Trust. As with most other Tv interviews I’m sure the limits of questioning were agreed beforehand. Nothing wrong with that. No football chairman in the world would agree to an Andrew Neil type grilling. Why would they? He certainly didn’t need to be drawn into responding to baseless rumour and tittle tattle posted on Twitter.

Overall it was good to hear from NR and get an outline of the behind the scenes, day to day operations, and strategy. I didn’t realise NR has such a hands on role.

THE TRUTH IS THERE AND WITH IT I GO TO THE END OF THE WORLD .

I watched it. A bit dull, and the questions were certainly ironed out, but I suppose this is common.

Α few points which I found mildly interesting:

    - He made clear that he is a non-executive chairman and that Vrentzos deals with the "meat and vegetables". We all knew that, but the fact that he insisted on it sounded like a personal excuse (don't blame me, blame him).

    - He addressed the problem of short-termism in recruitment. He flatly identified it as a clear mistake, while insisting that the very long-term stance some fans would like would be equally wrong.

    - He seemed rather convincing regarding ffp and the long-term financial viability of the club.

    - He seems to identify parachute payments as a major problem which the EFL should change.

The stadium, which is by far the main non-football issue of this regime, will be dealt with in part II.

Taylor's take: "I actually feel sorry for Nick. Some is encouraging (admitting mistakes), some a bit strange (blaming Covid for crap form). Always talks well but bottom line is, 4 years in, relegation fight, millions wasted on bad signings/decisions and all 2017 promises airbrushed from history."

I thought it was an encouraging interview. I don't need him to be exciting to listen to. Like others have said we ask for communication, we get it then moan. no way we can expect him to answer specific questions about individuals.

don't get me wrong I understand people having doubts but overall I thought that particularly the off field and finance stuff was encouraging.

as ever with stories that come out im sure there are 2 sides to things. im sure taylor has been told things and I am sure some are correct, we know everything hasn't been correct with recruitment and that was admitted.

so for me it was interesting to get some communication from the club. I also think the supporters club should be given credit. they have set this up and have put questions they have been sent to the club. they are clearly independent. I don't think its their role to be going all paxman and asking follow up questions.

I suppose we expect a lot from interviews such as this. We know, from long experience, that getting anything from a football club that they don't want you to know is either from a whistle blower or luck.

Getting blood out of a stone is easier.

The most encouraging aspect of the interview I'm my view was that the club appears to have proper
control of FFP-unlike our previous owner!!
Also,NR was honest enough to admit that talented young players need to be sold from time to time
because of the unfair way football is structured. He also acknowledged that the summer transfer
    window could have been better.
Finally,he stated that Forest had attracted a manager in CH with vast knowledge-I just hope that
he sees out his contract so that the club get the full benefit of it!
