Thought it would be good for people to suggest nice walks after I went on a few nice walks this weekend.
Today we went to Ollerton Pit Woods, very pleasant.

The old pit trails are quite nice here; Silverhill, Pleasley, Teversal, Blackwell, Rowthorne, Skegby and the Five Pits Trail in Derbyshire starting at Tibshelf.
Sometimes you come across something you weren’t expecting, like this lake on the old Silverhill Colliery site
If you ever visit Stuttgart, the City itself is built into a valley along side the river Neckar. The steep valley hills give their name to the Kessel (cauldron), and the city is surrounded by woodland and vineyards, and miles and miles of trails.
You can lose yourself for hours on a proper Spaziergang (hike) if you want, circulating around the perimeter of the city:
„I believe in socialism because it seems more humanitarian, rather than every man for himself and 'I'm alright jack' and all those arsehole businessmen with all the loot. I made up my mind from viewing society from that angle. That's where I'm from and there's where I've made my decisions from. That's why I believe in socialism“
„Don't forget you're alive. 'Cause sometimes when you walk around the city and you're in a bad mood, you can think, hey, wait a minute, we're alive! We don't know what the next second will bring and what a fantastic thing this is. This can get easily forgotten in the routine of life, and that's something I'm trying to bring to my attention at all times. Don't forget you're alive. We're not dead, you know. This is the greatest thing.”

Great thread. Here's a route I did on Friday, through Attenborough nature reserve and past the cricket club, to Trent Lock then up the Erewash canal to Sandiacre, back through Stabbo and over the A5-2 and field to Beeston.

Wyming Brook near Sheffield is worth the drive. There is a bit of scrambling over rocks at points so maybe not great if you have mobility issues. Really pretty though.
The loveliest I ever had was after being sent very saucy photos all day , I was edging it for hours and had a lot of lube then finished with a juddering spasm.
Oh , shit, walks.

If you head up Sheffield way, then the walks in the Longshawe estate are ace.
And Padley's Gorge is good, specially when the river is running a bit fast and furious.
I’m posh so National Trust Bodnant Gardens this morning...
Oh FFS.
Went for a nice walk this morning at Budby Wood.
Did a proper meandering walk around the city earlier; not really sure why as there’s virtually nowhere open, but it was a good 4 ½ miles in a ragged loop for some fresh air.
Llanddwyn island today. Beautiful.
I was about to say something trite about it being Wales and shit but that does look stunning.

Sunday afternoon yomp up into the Forest hills up above Stuttgart:
The famous Fernsehturm television tower and the Ganzi-Stadion just for Carlos.
Theres a fair amount of climbing involved too:
And, well, it’s only fair isn’t it?
