Default ROUND 24 - Eintracht Frankfurt vs VFB Stuttgart - KO 1530 CET

From a quick look it doesn't look like Frankfurt have anyone missing, Stuttgart have Egloff, Gonzalez, Mola and thommy out. This could be complete tripe though as I'm using an app to view it.

This should be the game to watch, especially after Frankfurt losing in the last round.

Frankfurt were on red hot form winning 5 in a row with an average of 3.0 goals. That win included beating the giants Bayern Munich. If they win at home tonight it will be their longest consecutive home win record since the year 2000!

Stuttgart have lost just 1 of their last 5 outings and look to make it 3 on the bounce for the first time since 2018. Stuttgart Games have goals, it's a fact 73.91% of their top flight games have goals at both ends and an average of 3.48 goals.

Stuttgart are also the joint third best away team on average with 1.67 points.

This is going to be a belting game to behold.

 strummer, let's hope for the next one we can be in the stadium for and have an actual beer after.

and who said my Matchday threads had no information in them?

I know it's not on iFollow. Unsure about the red button but worth a go on BT to see.

God knows how you get the RN commentary though.

There's no final either, it just gets to a point where Bayern win and everyone else scraps for the rest of the spots in the car park after.

Default ROUND 24 - Eintracht Frankfurt vs VFB Stuttgart - KO 1530 CET

Biggest miss for the VfB will be Nicolas Gonzalez, but Sasa Kalajdzic will deputise up front. His combination with wing-back Borna Sosa has led to five goals so far alone this term.

The dangerous Silas Wamangituka on the right will be VfB‘s main attacking outlet, with the blistering fast Congolese regularly being double-marked as opponents can’t stop his rampaging runs.

The battle will be won, or lost, in Midfield; Stuttgart have the defensive shield of Wataru Endo and Orel Mangala in the middle of the park, who will hope to snuff out the midfield of Die Adler. Endo was the player of last weekends‘ round, scoring his first and second Bundesliga goals, and setting up two others as Die Schwaben thrashed Schalke 04, 5-1.

VfB Are better away from home this Season, testament perhaps to how they’ve missed the ferocious backing of the faithful at the Mercedes-Benz Arena.

Eintracht though, are a tough proposition at home; Die Adler are scoring for fun, André Silva has 19 goals in 21 appearances this season, Adi Hütter is doing a great job there.

VfB though, have Kalajdzic and Wamangituka, both with 11 goals this term, so it’s a pretty safe bet this won’t end 0-0!

    Spiel Auf!

„I believe in socialism because it seems more humanitarian, rather than every man for himself and 'I'm alright jack' and all those arsehole businessmen with all the loot. I made up my mind from viewing society from that angle. That's where I'm from and there's where I've made my decisions from. That's why I believe in socialism“

„Don't forget you're alive. 'Cause sometimes when you walk around the city and you're in a bad mood, you can think, hey, wait a minute, we're alive! We don't know what the next second will bring and what a fantastic thing this is. This can get easily forgotten in the routine of life, and that's something I'm trying to bring to my attention at all times. Don't forget you're alive. We're not dead, you know. This is the greatest thing.”

Alright. He’s been initially in and out the team after a couple of early mistakes, but he’s grown into the position as the right-sided defender in coach Rino Matarazzo‘s back-three, which seems to suit him.

He’s made 12 appearances in the Bundesliga (so just over half the Games) and you can at times see real flashes of his quality. He doesn’t look like a player who’s „only“ 23 either.

I like him, but I’m not sure VfB could afford to make the loan permanent if they wanted to; as the Arsenal apparently want him back!

We've now moved from the another other football thread, to the German football show.

I think I'll give this topic a miss.

It's a separate thread completely to the other thread.

so we didn't clog it up with german football talk today.

Yeah, Gonzalo Castro, who is on the bench, is a surprise omission for me, but with Tanguy Coulibaly picked, you can be sure this isn’t a VfB side that will be playing a Defensive game.

    There’ll be goals, I reckon.

I'm interested to see Jovic and Silva link up. I agree this should be a cracker.

Coulibaly is a beast, he's finding all the right positions and runs through the Frankfurt defense.

Stuttgart play with such confidence and skill, it's quick and lethal. That's some set up you have there Stuttgart. They have no fear whatsoever.

I think Ndicka meant that one after Younes not getting the free kick for the headlock. That could have been a red on another day.
