As Calvin is taking a week off (don't blame him given the state of Luton's forum) I thought I'd step in with a few comments from them
-------------------------------------------------------
I believe it will be a tough game tonight against forest would take a point now to be honest.
Me too. Take a Point all day Long!
If we don't win our play-off hopes will be left in tatters!!!.... 😢
Cornick a good choice i feel as an outlet for when we're under pressure and be interesting to see his partnership with Adebayo!
Home win if you are going with Beaumont and Grimes at the back.
Nailed on 3-1 victory to the mighty hats...good starting 11, agree with the partnership with Adebeyo, seemed to be already clicking a bit on Saturday...
Big pitch. Mass defence. Get the ball forward quickly to 2 fast forwards.
We look up for this so far.
Agreed.. best away performance for months so far
I'm listening to the BBC Nottingham commentary... Obviously biased, but they have us as dire..and that was before KO....
Look to have started fairly well. As the 1st half has gone on we’re starting to be careless with the ball and look nervous. Silly decisions here and there and for some reason no end of hoof ball.
Potts is bloody awful. Can't pass or cross.
Only a matter of time. We are so negative its boring football.
Why do they f*ck around with the ball on the edge of the opposition area so much. Fanny around and then lose the ball.
What a shambles in defence - Clark excepted. As for Pelly...social distancing from everything
Every player put in a shift that half. Clark has been outstanding.
Solid half. True, we haven’t created much, but we’re looking lively. Murray header apart, Forest haven’t created anything. This is basically two mid-table sides keeping it tight. What we wouldn’t have given for that at 3:55pm on Saturday.
Agreed. Near perfect away performance. Could have nabbed one with final move too. Another 45 like that and it's at least a point at the home of the double European Champions.
Shite, sack the lot of em.
Locker / Bradley / Bree. We are missing those against some quality Championship attacking players...I think we are doing ok.
Apparently they were going to slaughter us. Forest fan says they need six chances to score so similar to us. One moment of quality will win this though. Impressed by Naismith at centre back seems he plays anywhere.
Pelly whats he up to?? Cant pass to save his life!!
I get the loyalty shown to him, but he’s miles off it. Spends more time these days half squatting with his arms flapping around pointing at the ball. Can’t make the simplest of passes and makes so many wrong decisions
Pelly you can't pass to save your cock
PELLY SUPERB PASS FOR THE GOAL. What a player.
The proverbial?! Smash and grab!
OMG !!!!!!!! YESSSSSSSSS!S!!!!!!!!!!
YAYYYYYY TUNNICLIFFE n/t
Nottingham scrubs... Yess 1 - nil!! Forest can do one!!
The entire move for the goal was quality. KDH got us up the pitch and managed to keep the ball. Great touch from Clark and then a good run into space, pelly a great ball in and good movement from tunnicliffe.
Fantastic but let's learn the lesson from the Millwall game. No running down the clock please.
#### off Taylor. Diving ####.
Bloody hell they have been shite since we scored - looks a team of individuals.
A game of opposites where they were as bad 2nd half as we were in the 1st. Thought Pelly & Rae gave so much possession away especially 1st half and with basic 10 yard passes. Whole team stepped up massively 2nd half and it was comfortable in the end. Naismith and the defence impressed. The big man up top lacks a clean strike but he offers so much and was really impressive. He’ll do for me. Lovely move for the goal and wish we moved the ball forward more often. Great win
We weren’t bad in the first half. Don’t know which game you were watching. They were better in the first half and really not so good second half. We matched them in the first half after their initial early progress.
We played our way into the game, perfect way to play away .
Those that expect free flowing football away from home need to give their head a wobble.
That’s made my night complete. Obviously the win.... but oh yes on the Forest forum .... “ beating teams like Luton”...
Notts Forest next 5 games... Potential for hardly any points there, no wonder their fans are concerned (as well as deluded). #teamslikeluton
I liked Chris Cohen. Clever, astute, future manager?
Interesting they thought our radio commentary was biased, the first set of fans to say this?
Thanks for posting Harvey
Thanks for posting Calvin, much appreciated.![]()
Only kidding Harv.
What a load of entitled bast***s.
Think that they can come to the World Famous City Ground and go home with all three points. Completely deluded.
They can piss off back to the 1st Division where they belong.
We will never see them again from the giddy heights of the Premier League where we will be challenging for a European place.
Why is this funny bloke in a white coat sticking a needle in my arm?
a bunch of fans of a not long ago non league side, having Steven Yaxley-Lennon as a famous fan and being nothing other than a service station for most from outside of Luton Village, they are taking the piss out of a club that is a light year +100 more successful than them.
I don't really like football, forum fans, but this has made me cackle into my snooker cue.
I remember years ago, sitting on the flight deck listening to the football results and the flight engineer was wailing about Burnley, his home town team, and worrying that they would be relegated to non-league football. Meanwhile I was enjoying the huge successes of our club.
Look at the relative positions of our two teams now. Football moves in cycles and, apart from the wealthy and perennially successful clubs, we all go up and down over time. Patience is needed and hope.
And don't despise others for enjoying their time in the sun. Remember how we enjoyed ours.
Here endeth the lesson for this morning.
Calvin deserves a break, so cheers for stepping-in Harv.
Your palms are holding her neck and thumbs are at her ears regulating the speed of her head as she swallows and then sucks up your machinery. She is topping up your engine oil for the cross-country coming up. Your RPM is hitting a new high. To wait any longer would be to lose prime time... She picks up a Bugatti's momentum. You want her more at a Volkswagen's steady trot. Squeeze the maximum mileage out of your gallon of gas. But she's eating up the road with all cylinders blazing.

„I believe in socialism because it seems more humanitarian, rather than every man for himself and 'I'm alright jack' and all those arsehole businessmen with all the loot. I made up my mind from viewing society from that angle. That's where I'm from and there's where I've made my decisions from. That's why I believe in socialism“
„Don't forget you're alive. 'Cause sometimes when you walk around the city and you're in a bad mood, you can think, hey, wait a minute, we're alive! We don't know what the next second will bring and what a fantastic thing this is. This can get easily forgotten in the routine of life, and that's something I'm trying to bring to my attention at all times. Don't forget you're alive. We're not dead, you know. This is the greatest thing.”

I seem to recall Luton were always usually a solid top two division side before they got a nutcase owner and Joke In'Ere (though the nutcase actually got rid of the cockney for no real reason so wasn't really his fault) and the fall out probably just took them a while to recover.
I think twice they got relegated due to points deductions which effectively put them into non league and had to rebuild it again so actually they aren't tinpot history wise.
Their ground is comical though for a 2nd tier side. Isn't one side entered through a fake house on the street and another just hospitality boxes?
Couple of things their fans are bang on the money with:
1 We were completely shit after they scored (not much better before they scored);
2 Chris cohen is a top bloke, and will make a brilliant manager in a year or 2.
I don't know why forest didn't pull out all the stops to keep Chris on our books.
Possibly because it would have meant the owners imposing him as first-team coach against the manager's will, and against normally-accepted protocols, which I'm convinced that Cohen fully respects. The only other potential 'promotion' for him would have been to appoint him Academy Director, but we already have a perfectly capable person fulfilling that particular role.
Anyway, I'm pretty sure that Chris commented at the time about his enthusiasm for a new challenge etc etc.
Probably better that a young coach who we like makes his mistakes at another club before he comes back though.
It would be pretty horrific if one of his learning experiences cost us promotion or the chance to stay up.
That would possibly depend on whether CC is someone who Hughton would unquestionably trust without ever previously working with him at any level. Traditional, old-school-type managers like CH, in the majority of cases, prefer to make their own choices, and probably rightly-so as it's their head-on-the-block if things go wrong.
It's perfectly feasible that Cohen would still be U-23 lead-coach had the Luton opportunity not been presented to him at that moment by his mate, Nathan Jones.

Head on the block isn't really a concern for a manager when they generally have a contract of at least 1 year, often 2 and occasionally more than that.
They are also on a decent salary.
So if the axe falls they generally get a decent pay-off, and there is always another club waiting in the wings to offer another job, with only a limited pool of managers to pick from.
And if the manager being axed has had an assistant foisted on him he has a ready made excuse to fall back on when he is being interviewed for that new job: The owners told me who I would have to work with as my assistant; I told them it was a gamble etc etc.
Excellent stand in Harv

Tbf, they were paying one of my mates a good whack back in the late 90's to be "injured", and buy the all the lads ale & brass like they were going out of fashion
From the money of theirs which just our lot pissed away on slurps & slags, they deserve recognition for acting like a bigger club than they are.
